It looks good for a console game, but compared to the other games on the list, it's nothing. I seriously thought Star Wars 1313 was CGI until it was revealed it was all in-game footage; with TLOU I could spot the low-res textures, jaggies, pop-ins, and low draw distance. I'm not saying TLOU is objectively a bad-looking game, but compared to the other games shown at E3, it doesn't even rank in the top five.Clean your glasses Cow. He didn't say it doesn't look good, just that it doesn't look as good as the five games on that list, which is very true.

PC games always looks better, and they are on the list... I think that's unfair. PC and consoles don't mix and they should be separated.
If it's a list consisting of console games, I'm pretty sure that TLOU would be there.

Wow... How is it flawed? Its intention is simple: to decide which game shown at E3 looks the best. The list isn't about console vs. PC--it's holistic assessment of which game was the most visually impressive at E3. If you're not a blind Cow you'll agree that TLOU does not look nearly as good as any of the nominees on that list. The only flaw is in your thinking.... Using your logic, we should also include the best looking wii games, DS, 3DS, iphone games etc... and just somehow supposed to compare them all and in some mysterious way, figure out which one uses it's hardware the best.[QUOTE="PAL360"][QUOTE="GamerwillzPS"]

Running in last gen hardware.
And yet.... Beyond:Two Souls made it on the list. The game has no real mechanics to run. It is easy to make a game look amazing when it is a press x to dodge type game and this is coming from a huge fan of the genre and someone who is hyped for the game.Running in last gen hardware.

Anybody could see that the PC-presented multiplats were the stars of the show. Developers are getting really sick of 6+ year old hardware. You can tell when they are using the PC to demo everything now.

If it's anything like Heavy Rain, then yes, we have seen the gameplay. It's one long picture with minimal gameplay going on. Doesn't take much CPU power to keep some AI in holding patterns while the player walks around looking for context-sensative buttons to press.
Compare that to something like Skyrim which has hundreds of different lists of data to keep track up, constantly spawning in different AI with different personalities and animations, physics to render on hundreds of objects, dyanmic night and day cycles... they had to distribute the processing to a lot of other things rather than holding graphics. The RAM was used more for game operations and less as video ram for textures, and the SPEs of the Cell were busier doing game processing, while in Beyond they can be more dedicated for graphics processing.
In fact, I was suprised that Skryim was running on consoles as well as it did. It tracks a hell of a lot of data. It must have been really hurting for RAM, especially on the PS3 where the RAM architecture isn't as flexible as the 360's.

there is no freedom, its literally a interactive movie

Skyrim runs on console, but would console be able to handle WoW/ any big-ass MMO at 30fps with heavy server traffic? It isn't just graphics that make it difficult to run big/complex games on console, it's also the amount data per unit time that has to be streamed real-time.
I doubt the current consoles would be able to handle Starcraft 2's Ultra setting at at least 30fps or Shogun 2 at at least 15fps.
its in those threads where you cried "bullshots" at actual screenshots of the game. halo 4 looks a lot better graphically than people were expecting STFU. LOL you mad brah?
