Anyone check out the demo? It's super fun and it looks like the full game gets freaking brutal. I love the heavy focus on physics. I think I remember playing a version of this on PC, but I can't remember if it was this or not. Anyways, it's pretty awesome! :D

All my points are reserved for Shadow Complex. I may try this one later, though. It looks fun.

Just picked this up. Super fun and really addictive. This + Shadow Complex + 1943 should tide me over until the fall games start appearing.

I just got finished playing the demo and was pleasantly surprised. This game was not on my radar at all, now it's a must have. The track "where's the ground?" Is freaking awesome. The graphics and animation are really tight. I definitely recommend checking the demo out.

I just bought BIg Surf Island so I don't have enough points for this anymore. :x I didn't know it had a level editor/sharer! That would have made it a must buy.

You can even mess around with it in the demo.

I bought Big Surf Island yesterday though. :( I should have been more patient. I got burnout two or three weeks ago and got addicted immediately. I got 100% yesterday and wanted more things to do!

Burnout is awesome, so it isn't too much a loss. I got Big Surf awhile ago, I've got to get back into it though.

The island itself is awesome, but I feel a little underwhelmed since the content in it is very little compared to the full game (and I got the game for $20, Big Surf is $13). If you haven't played the game in a while, get it.

Same here. I'm waiting for Shadow Complex. And if Trials HD turns out to be good... I might get it for the extra 800 points. I'll look at it as getting it for only 400 points. I'll probably use that 800 to get 1943. I played the trial on that. Don't like BF games but I definitely think I can get into this one.

To be fair, you did wait a year for it to be 20 bucks. I think Big Surf for 13 bucks is fair considering they gave everyone a full year of High quality DLC for free.I bought Big Surf as a thanks to Criterion for that.

I've never even heard of this game before. As soon as I saw the concept of the game in the review I thought, "this better have a level editor". It didn't disappoint :D I'll probably end up getting this...Shadow Complex first though.

I checked out the full version even. Borderline worth it. If you're really into time trials, unlocking medals, competing against friends and leaderboards etc. then it would be for certain. But I think I would've felt more comfortable with a 800 points price point. Shame the level sharing is so restricted.

Really? Because the gameplay looked exactly the same.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PIJ2lqSVF7k

It's the same game with a one dimensional track, a better physics engine, and better graphics with some more interesting obstacles.

But the core gameplay is the same, down to the handling of the motorcycle...

Uhh no not even close. The physics engine in this game is actually very good and has been implemented in a way that makes it critical to every aspect of the gameplay. Also this game takes skill. Excite Bike is nothing more than moving and rotating a sprite across the screen. Absolutely nothing compared to Trials.

You must play this game before judging it.

BAAAAAHHHHH HAHAHAHAHAAHA. Whew, this is rich, dood. I just said it had a different physics engine. Ugh, you guys, grasping for straws so hard. You dodge obstacles and manuever through the terrain, trying to get the correct angle so you don't flip or fall on your ass, it's basically the same damn thing. Excite Bike even had a level editor, oh gawd this is rich.

So far, the arcade lineup has been almost better than the retail lineup for this summer.

Think about it, Battlefield1943, Fat Princess, Splosion Man, Trials HD, Shadow Complex

All of the above excluding Battlefield are extremely innovative (battlefield is still terrific fun though)
