I'm disappointed about the side view mirrors, and I couldn't tell whether the speedometer was working or not in the video, but they did a great job with the rear view mirror which is most important imo.
I'll probably be playing in this view, since I always hated unrealistic the bumber cam was.
Graphics are fantastic, but the gameplay looks a little suspect. The driver bumper-cared off a guy at the start and he seemed to be going rediculously fast through a couple of turns. I'll reserve judgement until I play it, but from what I saw there I don't think GT5 will be able to compete with Forza 2 in terms of realism.PBSnipes
Well. Looks like you're going to have to play the "Just Wait" game like everyone else.

you are judging a video of a demo if an unfinished game that it wont be realistic even though real race car divers have said the cars feel and controll vary life like

Like I said I'll reserve final judgement until I play GT5, but from that video it looks like there hasn't been a huge step forward in the gameplay department. Obviously I wasn't playing so I can't say for sure, but there appeared to be some pretty suspect physics at a couple of points in the game, namely the player "bumper- car-ing" in one of the first corners, and there were a couple of turns in the middle of the video that seem a little sharp for the speed the driver was going (especially since he was driving a Honda).not really, for a second there i thought he was playing project gotham racing 3...the hud looks identicalmlbslugger86It is a car's interior duuhh its not gonna change.
and GT HUD =/= PGR3 HUD
play more games dude..

Well it looks like they are in an Integra Type R. As far as the handling I think it pulled .92g on the skid pad and comes with Bridgestone Potenza RE-050 from the factory in 225/40/18. Also probably has a larger/stiffer sway in the rear to help cope with the oversteer and whip the rear around a little better.
Notice in the turns he is sliding towards the outside of the track during the turn.... Learn something about cars before making a dumb comment about simulating reality.

i think you're right.
i haven't read anything about kaz doing much with the physics engine....
if they stay true to form, they'll be another bumpercar fest, but prettier than GT4...
Forza 2 is at over 9,000 physics variables compared to GT4's three hundred.... that gives Kaz muuuuuch room for improvement..
let's see if he does it....

Well with knowledge like that you must be an expert of racing through the streets of London in what may or may not be a Honda Integra type R . What pressure was the driver's tires at? What were his gear ratios? His break bias? Was he using regular or premium gas? Is he wearing boxers or briefs? I'm dying to know.[QUOTE="mattyomo99"][QUOTE="PBSnipes"]Graphics are fantastic, but the gameplay looks a little suspect. Well the only difference in forza I noticed was damage, the reward cars were worthless, it lags when you crash and the tyres screech constantly, and they drift too much no matter what tyres.
People tend to agree that GT is the better simulator while forza competes with it - it was never the other way around. Most petrol heads would agree anyway.

actually most "petrol heads" who've done any high speed driving would recognize GT games don't incorporate the dynamics of lift correctly...
leading to the tire screeching you're hearing in Forza...;)
btw; even 1up.com/EGM call Forza the New Reigning King of Physics...
and why not? Forza was made with the help of automotive engineers who know muuuuuuch more about realistic physics than a game maker like Kaz...
a fact Kaz has never disputed...;)
it's pgr4 imo what is wow about it, it will last as long as pgr4 did 1 weeks max then trade in SeekeRuk
if you think that looks like PGR4 you need to get you eyes checked

Does Foza 1 or 2 do high speed lift correctly?Well the only difference in forza I noticed was damage, the reward cars were worthless, it lags when you crash and the tyres screech constantly, and they drift too much no matter what tyres.

And Gran Turismo games take more than a week to complete. >_>I already played the JP Demo, so the shock is pretty much over by now. Still can't wait to get my copy from PlayAsia near the end of next week. :)BioShockOwnz

Some things i noticed from the video
+the driver now shifts(wasnt doing it at e3)
+driving even with no damage doesnt look so bumper car'd
+driving looks a lil more realistic..like the way the car moves(apposed to how it looked in GT4)
+cockpit is pretty
