GT after GT5 has not gained an AAA ave for a franchise. It is an ave AA franchise and in most views a small level of a flop with GT5. GT is suffering the same fate as other Japanese developers are having in regards to jRPG's.

I would not be surprised if Sony looks to hit the reset button and find a new developer to start a brand new racing franchise to compete with Forza:? I think Sony knows now they need much faster development times and a more polished and better racing game then what they are getting from PD these days:roll:

no such luck, it will sell a ton of copies and be rewarded for putting the brakes on what it means to be a modern race game and the next one will come out and maybe be improved by 10% or so.

It'll will still be a top contender.. you have to remember that not all gamers check scores and crap on video game sites. Some people just love simulators and when they hear "New Gran Turismo" they will go buy it.

GT will always be a top tier racing game wether you like it or not

it has more content and quality then any other game on the market :)

Sales wise it achieved

And apart from Cows hyping it to hell and back it stayed within the score range of most of its franchise entries :o

If the series as a whole is better then why doesnt it sell better? I think the xbox fan base just doesnt want Sim Racers, which is sad because forza does deserve to be played.

Its still a great game that is considered one of the best out there.

You can't take away the success it has built up because of this recent flop. It's still a top racing and gaming franchise. bez2083
