This thread is pure contradiction. He posts poor pictures of GT5P from IGN, yet IGNsay GT5P is the best looking car game ever.

Seriously, I played the demo in a SDTV and it looks better than the TC pics.

As already mentioned:

1) screens are only 1280 by 720 big. Actually game is 1920 by 1080. (resizing, excetuiates and creates jaggies)

2) The jaggies, if there are any, will and are less noticable when you're actually playing the game in person.

I still think PGR4 looks better overall, GT5P has slightly better car models though. AdolescentDon

I guess you didn't see that those screenshots are resized. If you look more you will see that even the letters and icons are jaggified. Thats not how it is in the game and wouldn't be to begin with.

I've got the demo, I played through it once or twice. It certainly doesn't look as good as they say it looks...trust me that isn't BS...I remember distinctly asking "What happened?" It looks great, better than any racer on the market right now...but all of those videos comparing it to real life are a bit...premature.TheSystemLord1

It's been 100% confirmed that the demo has 2x AA in 1080p and 4xAA in 720p. Teufelhuhn

If so, this will reduce jaggies pretty decently, although not even close to getting rid of them.

Remember that the distance viewed from + screen size have a lot to say for how apparent aliasing is for e.g. 4xAA 720p.

4xAA in 720p would be a aliasing nightmare when played on a 37" from a distance of one meter.

Ok Flashattackfina. You've made your point. GT5 Prologue has the most visually realistic graphics any racing game and nearly any other game as ever had.

Most if not every game has at least a slight amount of jagged edges.

Anyway. I don't think anybody said that GT 5 prologue doesn't have any jaggies at all.
