Such a waste of time.
Why not just go for 20,000 cars and take 7 more years, then? What's the difference?
First I'll take Froza 2 in 2008 and Forza 3 in 2010 over GT5 in 2010 anytime.
And someone is full of BS. First they say it takes 120 days to model each car. Now they are going to have 10,000 cars. So that's 1.2 million days or 3,287 years. That's a comma not a period. Over 3 thousand years. Now lets say they have 500 people working on the game, that is still 657 years. Some one is full of it.
"sony has announced the full GT 5's car list. It consists of 10000 cars. At launch it will only have 340 cars while the others will be developed in the future."
so when you buy the game you only get 3.4 % of the game and rest you have to download? i sincerely hope the other download will be free
I agree, IMO, so many cars isn't worth the extra development time.Such a waste of time.

Yep, and after 3000 years of development, you will receive the full GT5 experience! Only on the PS3!
holy crap...10,000 cars??
i definately gotta see if they fixed the idiot AI
and why in the hell am i going to need so much cars?

now that is intereesting. I believe they were taking about charging for cars. $1/car or something?"sony has announced the full GT 5's car list. It consists of 10000 cars. At launch it will only have 340 cars while the others will be developed in the future."

can anyone confirm?
Why do you need so many dang cars? Just create a virtual car museum!
By 2010, there will have been so many other racers out on both the PS3 and 360 that I highly doubt I will care about GT5.
Less cars and less development time please.
EDIT: Major typo

That's the motto Sony is working with
It's the "wait until we give you something good" plan.
Buy it with less then 350 cars, we'll give you the rest "sometime"
What the hell?"sony has announced the full GT 5's car list. It consists of 10000 cars. At launch it will only have 340 cars while the others will be developed in the future."

340 cars at launch. I think even Forza 2 had those many.

wikipedia says "there are over 300 cars" but it doesnt says how many exactly
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forza_2
so 1 car for each week of production? :Pcakeorrdeath
Lol.
TC kinda walked into a landmine on this thread.
Okay that way too many cars. Is this a big reason why the game is not coming at the earliest 2010?Wanderer5
No. Only 350 cars would be available at launch. The rest will be made after....

Yeah I just notice that. I need to learn to read before posting.:P But 10,000 cars still sound kinda BS.
lol and lem-stronghold "system wars" goes into fanboy, damage rant control:
"Why would they need 10,000, thats just stoopid, too many" x 40.
In other news, SW fakeboys fail at research and post fake lists that were debunked in August of 2007 by Sony themselves.Makari
Speculation dosen't mean not true in all cases. Not like I'm supporting having 10,000 cars, as it would be a waste of time.
More like: "GT5 to have 10,000 cars. I'm a gullible cow who'll blindly believe anything, no matter how ridiculous, as long as it supports my agenda."

I'm glad Sony has as much common sense as these lemmings.
Otherwise, we'd be waiting for 15 years for a GT game.
But I'm sure Cows would love that. They love waiting.

In this case, 'speculation' means "somebody on the internet made this up completely, and we have no idea what they're talking about." That's about as unlikely to pan out as it's possible to be.lol and lem-stronghold "system wars" goes into fanboy, damage rant control:

First, how am I a Lemming. Second, how is waiting 5 to 6 years worth having what will only be around the same number of cars as GT4 at launch?
And if you think the cars as DLC will be free, I just chuckle.

Ouch, I bet that one hurt.
Well, it's cool that they want a lot of cars and stuff, I just don't think it's an effective use of development resources.lol and lem-stronghold "system wars" goes into fanboy, damage rant control:

Hopefully they'll get around to fixing the A.I, which quite frankly, is a joke.
Other than that: Moar cars, fantastic visuals, great soundtrack (going by the previous games), classic GT presentation, online and new damage modelling...... I can wait.
I'll pick up GRID 2 in the meantime :)
EDIT: If this is true, which I doubt, I assume that most of that amount will come through DLC.

lol i can see it now, released with 325+ crap cars/same car different year and maybe 15 decent/good cars, and then all the really good ones you have to pay $5 for each lol
stupid move. I have never used more than 30 cars in a racing game. EVER. They should be adding new features and tracks instead of wasting their time on something so pointless as making 10, 000 cars. Most people just take a favourite car and stick with it.argetlam00I agree with this. Even 1000 cars is excessive.
