GT5 world release 4/12/09

GT5, God of war collection,and Uncharted 2 this year, price drop, slim, Sony are going to do very well this Christmas.

The 4th December is a Friday, so this date makes perfect sense. Just in time for Christmas.

Who developed the damn game? Whoever they are,they must suck,its being 3/2 years already trying to make this damn game,so sad.i wont be surprised if it gets delayed even more Ratchet_Fan8

The 4th December is a Friday, so this date makes perfect sense. Just in time for Christmas.

Actually Friday makes no sense at all, Games are released in retail on Wednesday until it is published by Nintendo then it is usually a Sunday release. Friday doesn't make any sense and seems very random.

Edit: This is for US not sure how it is in PAL.

Oh haha i read this as April 12th but yes December 12th makes sense even though the game doesnt look done (damagely-speaking)

This. I'm sure something as big as GT5's release date would be confirmed and kinda a big deal. Not just letting random online stores post it and wait for people to find out.

Yeah TGS should give confirmation of the release date for GT5, I wish it would be this year though, but I don't want Polyphony to rush the game.

And to think, I felt dumb for the 2 seconds it took me to read that, think "the world doesn't necessarily write dates the way the U.S. does" (because there ARE other countries in the world), then gather that they meant December 4th, 2009.

Depending on the guys age though you can't blame him for not knowing, personally I didn't know about how countries write dates until I was well into high school which was like 6 years ago but still. It isn't exactly something we are taught in america, oh well maybe I am just sympathetic because if I was 12-14 I probably would have made a similiar comment. Now if he is 20+ ... Didn't play.com already list a different release date for GT5 a few months back? Until its released to the public by Sony or Polyphony and goes gold, its not official.

It's a Friday, so it makes sense for the UK release. Play.com have had that date for a while though, I think.

i got a very good feeling it will be releasing this year.

we've seen numerous leaks (real and not real), they made that announcment at GamesCom that if you pre-order GT5 you'd get GT PSP for free.

Then we have Kazinouri saying saying the game could release very soon, we got Sony reps at E3 saying "we can release it at any time".

I expect there to be a big surprise at Tokyo Game Show.

Is it? When I say the date out loud it always comes in the form of "It's September 3rd, 2009." I could see how someone might go the third of September, but it's more awkward and doesn't roll off the tongue as easily.

English is a Germanic Language but, yes, saying 'September 3rd' is a good example of an Americanism, so I dare say 'the 3rd of September' is more natural.
