GT models looks extremly good http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6O-CCQzRc1g and have more triangles (400k) but I read that this presentation have nothing to do with GT makers.

That's not GT5, a studio made that based on the specs Polyphony Digital are using to make cars in GT5.

If it was running on PC. Then yes, the graphics are insane.

sadly however the ps3 only has 512 mb of ram and it is physically impossible to reach the level of detail in that vid or in the official pd gt5 trailers

this is because for the visuals there is actually even less(only 256mb)

The car don't have any more details than the models in GT5p, it has the same polygon count. This is probably just rendered at a higher resolution compared to in-game.

The difference between E3 KZ and KZ2 were as huge as Toy Story 1 and 2. Problem is some people can't tell the difference due to similarities in art direction.

This has nothing to do with GT5. This was a render by someone and people have stole this video and knocked a "GT" tag on it.

yeh a 142k triangles per car
12 cars = over 1 million triangles not including any scenic geometry textures or shaders on teh gpu toxicmog

And Uncharted have 1.2 milion/frame. Actually GT5(P) models have 400k polygons, LOD is working.

LOL lemmings, I watched 2005 render just after completing full game, and it looked far worse in some places (especially lighting).
