gta 4 doesn't deserve a ten

1. frame rate doesn't feel stable, feels quite choppy to me sometimes

2. the game is the same... just different setting and new cast of characters... its really no improvement besides bigger, better, and prettier.

i just dont see how a gamelike this is jus graphicaly superior to san andreas deserved a 10.

gameplay wise it hasn't really changed, same formula, its like.. dynasty warrior 4 (gta 3 being dynasty 1, gta vice as dynasty 2, gta san andreas as dynasty 3, and u kno what im getting at).

multiplayer is a good addition but isn't very team oriented

it deserves a 9.0 at best.

so what justifies the 10? cuz the company paid u to do so?

I don't agree with everything, but the reason the graphics are great and overshadow the (at times) choppy framerate is because of how much stuff is going on and how much stuff is on the screen, while the framerate doesn't suffer too much.

I also agree this game doesn't deserve a ten. You also contradicted yourself on number 2. lol

No game, EVER IN THE WORLD, should EVER get a 10, because I'm sick of hearing people complain about it every day...

When a game gets a 7.5, people complain. When a game gets a 9.0, people complain because it "should have been 9.5" when a great game gets a 10, it "should have been a 9.5 because it's not perfect".

No game will EVER be perfect, but a game that delivers in many ways and leaves you with hours of gameplay, online capabilities, and a satisfying experience surely can be considered a 10. IMO

Yup, has nothing to do with this thread/discussion, so that's a moot point.

10/10 is a perfect score right... since no game is perfect probably no game deserves that score...

However since we're talking about GTAIV, i also agree that it doesnt deserve a 10/10 score, though i love the game and its great...

I would at least think that since GTA4 is multiplat, the score would be widely accepted.

GTA4 deserves every score it's recieved. You have to take into consideration verything that is in the game. And that is ALOT.

I think that is exactly what a sequel is supposed to be. They changed the way you play the game with cover mechanics and the relationship system and also added a very polished multiplayer.

It's so many things that come together to make GTA4 an unbelieveable game. What eles did you expect :?

When you can't get the most fundemental aspects of your game just right, it doesn't deserve a 10.

I don't care how amazing the story is, or the gangsta like activities the game allows for, if the camera can't follow your freaking car in a logical manner while you drive it, the game is not a 10.
