Eurogamer has learned from an independent source that Rockstar is ramping up research on locations around Hollywood.

Earlier today we heard that Tinseltown could well be the setting for Grand Theft Auto V.

Our source could not say whether the research was specific to the GTA series.

Game maker Rockstar told Eurogamer it doesn't comment on "rumour or speculation".

Watford would be a better setting, obviously.

if it is hollywood they wouldnt be researching it now they would have been researching it the second they finished gta4 i guarantee they have been working on it for about two year what surprises me is that they didnt announce it at e3 my guess is it will be out early 2011

could be Los Santos :P which i wouldnt mind as long as we had over the top moments again in GTA cause i do miss them a fair bit.But Los Santos would seem logical especially as its a parallel to Los Angeles which does have a fair bit of gang culture.

there was rumours floating that it wasnt canned all together but they shifted its priority :( but the first two were ok games but didnt rate as highly as people thought.

Altho 3 did look promising with the whole Amsterdam thing.
