Well, you won't be hearing any familiar tunes in this one. You'll here Eastern European pop, Jamaican dancehall and afrobeat. Actually the dancehall will probably be pretty cool in it. If you are not a fan of experimental/ ethnic musics you probably won't enjoy much of the soundtrack. Odd move, but I guess they figure this game is gonna sell regardless so why not do something they want.

Yeah dancehall can get you pumped. Useful for certain things you're doing in this game.

I guess it's a great opportunity to discover some new songs, but I am disappointed to hear that there won't be any familiar ones.

This is why custom soundtracks are neat.

Yeah i read that instead of playing old hits, they wanted to focus on future hits. With songs not being on the charts in Amercia I'm not quite sure that makes sense.

The soundtrack of GTA IV will be stellar just like all the other games, and maybe even more so. There are over 200 songs in the game, and I'm sure the majority of them will be top notch. If you don't like a particular genre, just change the station, but there will without a doubt be something for everyone. With that being said, the talk radio stations are always the highlight of the soundtrack anyway.

Why would you want to listen to stuff you've already heard a million times when there's so much good music that you haven't?

So you would rather listen to the same BS that they play on the radio/MTV/BET a zillion times a day? Personally, I prefer my GTA without the likes of Soulja Boy and Lil Boosie.

No I hate radio music. The good songs in the past games have happened to ahve been on some kind of charts in the past, is what i meant.
