GTA remastered is definitely worst AAA remaster ever made in history?

So we just got GTA remasted. we got remastered of 3 of most overrated games of all time bar none. those 3 games were not even good to begin with let alone justify a shitty remaster. but then when we see remaster we saw even worse and cartoonish version of originals with having so much budget they have and come up with that lol

Look at Alan wake remaster. even character model is improved and more resemble real person who model Alan.

and now look at this

Anyone can see which remaster looks better. Alan wake remaster doesnot even use 1/4 budget of what GTA would probably use. since Rockstar is billion dollar organization and came up with lazy remaster.

I think it mostly depends on when the original was made. GTA3 is much older. Giving it a realistic look would alter the feel of the game too much.

Yes, this is such a shame coming off the excellent Mafia remake.

The only thing you are getting with these remasters is removed content:

- Songs got removed

- Better character models got removed

The GTA SA definite edition made it to gamepass and it looks pretty good. It's obviously an upgrade from the 2003 GTA. The thing is, it looks like they just took the game, increased the resolution and left every thing else the same.

If the game mechanis are better I'll play it. The originals haven't aged well in that regards.

Feels cheaply done. And the few changes aren't for the better. Glad I didn't buy it.

There is a radial menu for the radio stations and guns, that's it.

That's all the improvements I've seen when it comes to quality of life improvements.

The biggest issue is its price tag of being $60 for doing such a half-ass job, if they had price it $40, I would've bite. But however, I can play SA on Game Pass and GTA3 on PS Now. Might be the best way to play those games since I still have love for GTA3 & SA, never had any love for Vice City and for such a remastered, I still can't believe Tommy cannot swim!

There's no excuse for Rockstar not to do proper remakes of these games. There's nothing "masterful" about this remaster. They're blindly abusing AI retexturing and gave the finger to optimizing the engine. We should have known better when they didn't want to debut live gameplay before the release.

They soak in way too much money for little effort in return. This is probably one the of most bare minimum efforts a major publisher has ever done.

Such a shame tbh. I was really looking forward to it.

I don't think I'll be picking it up until they fix a few things like the shotty FPS.

Yeah, Rockstar is the worst.

Graphically I looks better but I heard there's just lots of glitches than ruin it.

By now most should know graphics aren't the end all/be all but when a remaster is barely a step above what it replaces, then we see an issue. Yes it looks better but it still looks choppy and the environments seem quite empty for an open world game.

I'm split on whether or not I want to get this game. I never did finish San Andreas, so I'm kind of tempted to get it, but the price is just too damn high right now for what's being offered.

I disagree, Warcraft's visual upgrade was great and stayed very true to the original.

In fact what most people hated was the game sticking so true to the original, when Blizzard promised changes to missions.

What Warcraft Reforged DID do wrong though was merging together with the old games, removing content and removing the community's right over custom games.

They made multiplayer and custom matches a whole lot worse. But the visual upgrade itself? Yeah a million times better than GTA remasters and I can tell you that with my eyes closed.

The problem you're having is you don't have Game Pass. SA is included with Game Pass. I am playing it right now on the Serious X and it's pretty great I think but my expectations weren't that high. I play it in performance mode and it's smooth as butter for the most part but when things get hectic, the framerate tanks hard. I usually ignore non perfect fps as i'm not sensitive to it but this is pretty bad. DF will have a field day. I don't know how the fps is in fidelity mode since I never play it in that mode. However, it's a small annoyance to play such a great game in such high quality and for free.

The only thing that Reforged did right were the graphics. Everything else they butchered, including the original game. What were they thinking? Did they ever separate the two versions? Clearly they knew they fucked up since they left classic Diablo II alone. Staff has ignored the community shortly after the release of Reforged with no hope of further updates/fixes. The 0.6 user score on Metacritic is far too generous.

I'd say XIII is worse, but the GTA Trilogy is up there. The Silent Hill HD Collection is a masterpiece in comparison

Activision was already very reluctant to let blizzard work on an RTS.

Zero money was dedicated to the project, assets were being made in Korea (far cheaper).

Blizzard won't even make an RTS again.

I have to play the games to actually be able to confirm your statement, but your hate for GTA is legendary, so.... Judging by those youtube trailers, GTA Trilogy seems to be far from the worst remaster in history, in fact I really want to play it, just not at 60 USD.

If this was some £10 be "whatever". Still be a shithow and not excusable but a "whatever.

Given the price, the attack on modders months prior, Rockstar removing the originals wherever possible to funnel people into paying a higher price point, not bothering to pay money for licencing music they can clearly afford and now removing access to the digital game you bought, in this case I don't think Ghost lads hyperbole is unfounded.

Genuinely wouldn't be surprised if the reason it had cheats removed wasn't technical, but they didn't like the idea of people remembering when cheats wasn't a thing you bought. i.e. money

Played SA for 15 minutes and deleted it, this remaster was very low effort for what was advertised
