GTA San Adreas is the best game ever made here's why...

Timing: Came in at a perfect timing in the gaming world it seem so different from the tomb raiders and resident evil

Versatile : You was pretty much able to do anything in this game swim shoot go to the gym eat dance fly planes got to mess with hookers and get to have girlfriends !!! it felt so realistic

Best cheat codes ever in history: Come on you had flying cars jet pack and guns !!! and so many more cheat codes u can try !!!!

story line: great story line not perfect but great some people can relate to it i heard ! i guess its for people in the hood to relate to lol or people that are fascinated with that kinda stuff

missions: the missions are cool at the beginning and i love the cut scenes although i have to admit some missions aren't fun and can be annoying

it shows graphics doesn't matter to a certain extent: of course we love graphics but we have to admit the graphics itself not so good compare to the other games

gameplay: gameplay awesome you dont even have to complete all the missions to have fun !!

sales: this game made the hype for the next sequel the next one sold over 90 million copies !!!!

I didn’t really care for the game myself. I kept playing it and trying to enjoy it but after about 25 hours I just gave up on the game and traded it in. Graphically I thought that it looked kind of ugly. Never got invested in the storyline or main character. Found the shooting and driving mechanics to be clunky and a bit frustrating.

It's easily the best GTA game imo, but not best game ever...

I give the edge to Vice City for best GTA game ever. San Andreas is second. III is third. V is fourth and IV is trash.

GTA is and always will be an all time favorite of mine. I don't know if I can say that San Andreas is better than the other versions of the game that came out, I kind of rate them all the same. But then again I've been playing it since it was first released on PC (overhead view).. now that's a true classsic.

Vice City is by far my favorite GTA, but that's not saying a whole lot. I feel like it's the most over rated franchise of all time... right up there with Smash Brothers.

SA is definitely one of the best games I've ever played. WAY better than the grossly overrated Vice City that was in many ways total crap.

SA also looks really good compared to other games of that era. If you play it on PC with highest reso today, it will still impress you.

And on PS2, it easily the best looking game on that platform, easy. I collect PS2 games, so I should know!

The game world is awesome, really atmospheric, and just rocks. The characters are also awesome, the best crew ever in a game.

And the game got really versatile missions, and it keeps entertaining you in every way.

One of the best games ever, and easily better than the mainstream poo that is GTAV.

Found the story incredibly boring I couldn't finish and the extra things in the. Game like eating and working out didn't add anything for me.

My favourite GTA is GTA V loved its single player,, had great fun with modding it on PC and online has been fun too.

Vice City, GTA 2, GTA IV and Chinatown wars are better.

GTA: SA got completely boring at the end and thus it's the only GTA game I've never finished.

I was never able to get into the GTA serise. I tried it on the PS2 San Andreas actually and it all just seemed like branless action with little scope to motivate me.

Sure you could do a bunch of "stuff" but none of it was really that fun to me. I gave up on it after less than an hour of play.

I tried again with GTA5 on PS4 thinking maybe THIS time I would "get it". LOL NOPE! Had the SAME exact reaction and feeling even after FORCING myself to play longer so I could let the magic of what everyone else was hyping click with me. I think I was able to squeeze in 3 maybe 4 hours?

lol GTA San Andreas (or any GTA) not only isn't be best game of all time, it isn't even in the list of contenders for me.

But I still would have to give the crown to resident evil 4 tho, and oblivion and halflife were imo bigger landmarks as well.

I respect your opinion, but IMO the GTA games are mediocre. San Andrea was fun, but there are many many games I would rank higher - Chrono Trigger, Thief 1+2, Baldur's Gate 2, Planescape Torment, Cities Skylines, Lemmings, X-Wing, Tie Fighter, Warcraft 2, Starcraft, Diablo 1+2, Pillars of Eternity, The Witcher 3, Dishonored, Civilization series, Colonization, Alpha Centauri, The Last Guardian, Ico, Shadow of The Colossus, Age of Empires series, Empire Earth series, Deus Ex, System Shock 2, Skies of Arcadia, early Sonic games, almost any Super Mario game, The Incredible Machine, Ecco the Dolphin, almost any Mega Man game, Vectorman 1+2, Zork Grand Inquisitor, Myst, Riven, Okami, and on and on and on

it was the only GTA series tat I enjoyed playing.

Although it was more of a idle time waster then 'best game ever'.

San Andrea with cheat modes given the size of the map was a hoot though

I haven't played it yet. But GTA 3is pretty great and among the best games that has ever been made.(Vice City didn't attract me that much with it's useless beach area,smaller city,worse memorable gangs , some bad designed missions and much less exciting police chases since police now easily blow up your tire without any effort)

But even then I consider GTA as one of the best game franchises of all time.

Lol. MGS3 looks crap, and MGS2 has only one pretty level, the ship.

The whole of SA is really impressive on PS2. And youre comparing it to games where only one tiny level/area looks really neat (and the rest of the game looks like garbage).

It's not even the best GTA game. Vice City is the best GTA game. I never could get into San Andreas.

In my personal opinion, GTA San Andreas is my favorite GTA game to date and I have played that many times then any GTA game to date! So much fun things to do, but I'll say CJ was just too much of a try hard guy, Franklin in V was so much better then CJ and CJ ain't got nothing on Franklin. But that's my two cents between the two. Yes, San Andreas did had some cool cheats and for once, you can swim and not die asap when you hit the water like the previous games which was stupid, especially in Vice City with all that water. Rockstars really went all out on San Andreas and sadly, none of the newer GTA games doesn't come close as to what made San Andreas so fun but I'll say V is pretty damn close to being on par with San Andreas.

Now the best thing about San Andreas was the infamous Hot Coffee controversy, it was a mess for Rockstars and tried to blame it on PC gamers because of it. But when we found out the Hot Coffee code was also on PS2, that's when shit really hit the fan and it was all over for Rockstars lol.

Great game, I thoroughly enjoyed it....I played it a little through BC recently, and while I was a little disappointed that it is actually the mobile version ported to console(according to DF), I got such intense flashbacks while replaying the opening minutes. The dialogue is hilarious.

Anywyas, I still think GTA5 is the best overall because of the city, it is the most detailed city ever created in videogame format, on console anyways. Vice is probably my 2nd favorite. I enjoyed all the GTA games though

Are you serious? SAs characters still had cube hands and jagged outlines.

SA, like pretty much all games of that generation, look like ass.

However, both Metal Gear games and black look a hell of a lot better than GTAs crappy visuals.
