Unless it is delayed again ofcourse. PC gamers are the afterthought after all.
Like last gen EA delayed proper FIFA for PC for 5 years...
Same this gen...OH WAIT....

FIFA 07
"Electronic Arts developed a new sports engine for the Xbox 360-version of FIFA 07. This meant not only improved graphics and better controls, but the physics and control were also improved."
FIFA 11
"The PC version ofFIFA 11 is the first in the series to use the same game engine as the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions."
FIFA 14
"The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game feature a new game engine called the Ignite Engine."
FIFA 15
"On PC, FIFA 15 runs on EA’s Ignite engine with the same features as the PS4 and Xbox One editions."
Last gen's afterthought now is recieving attention in 10 months....
Could anyone dream of TEKKEN on PC?
also if forza is ported what afterthought?
@inb4uall: don't care anymore. It's over a year since the console release and that's not including the delays. What the hell are they doing to keep delaying it? As I said, not interested in this now. Might get it on a steam sale dirt cheap, you can **** right off thinking I'm paying £40 for a PC game that has been delayed so many times.
nice timing rockstar!
i mean yeah sure i played it on 360 for a year then sold it for the bone version then played it for months and sold it to buy something else so i don't own it now and will never buy it again but yeah.... that timing is great....seriously... nice job on that.
also, since we are on the subject.
nice job on ruining the racing.
i wanted to race some guys and here i am at the starting grid of 12 cars looking straight up at a one lane wide ramp that goes straight up into the clouds.
and there are 7,892 versions of this same user made garbage race that you are stuck racing on.
nice job on that too.

And when FIFA was console exclusive for 5 years they bought ps360...
No more.

Did you already buy it for consoles?

How is giving PC gamers the best version of GTA V considering PC gamers an afterthought ?

Yes I did, day one for the 360.

release as normal, games broken, people shit all over R*. Delay the game to polish it up to make sure its good and handles well, people shit on them still. I dunno about anyone else but like hell id buy the game on consoles. They can take as long as they want, I have such a huge backlog to get through ill play it when its out.

Game came out in 2013. It's the start of 2015 now. Learn 2 count bro
And yes, I know the game has been out for a while. I own it on PS3, and frankly it was a below average experience. The draw distance made everything look ugly once it was more than 15 meters away from you. And the thing I love to do most in GTA games i.e. creating chaos, made the frame rate dip so bad that I just quit playing the game.
I made a stupid decision buying into the hype and getting it for last gen consoles. It's pretty clear that Rockstar only released those versions and kept quiet about the PS4/xbone/PC versions so people would buy the game multiple times.
Reasons why PC version is NOT an afterthought:
- Higher resolutions
- Better graphics
- Higher framerate
- Choice of controls
- Free online (unlike Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS4)
- Movie editor (I spent more time in the movie editor of GTA IV than I did playing the game on Xbox 360)
I'll never get the console version of GTA again after how lackluster the PS3 version of GTA V felt, never.

I actually thought fifa 07 on xbox original/ps2/pc was better than the newer version
Same with fifa 14 for that matter
I think it is because when they make a new engine , it still has flaws in the beginning, it takes a couple of years to even it out.
FIFA 15 on the x1 and ps4 is still not as good as the x360 versions imo, but it's very close already can't wait for 16 on the x1

Look at it this way. What version of GTA San Andreas is the version Rockstar cared for most? The technically worst version that sold almost 30 million on PS2? Or the PC version with less than 5 million units to it's name? As far as Rockstar are concerned, PC gamers are an afterthought. It looks better because it can. Not because they care more about PC gamers. They do best on consoles, namely PS consoles. GTA V sold 20 million on PS3. About 15 million on 360. 7 million on PS4, and 3 million on Xbox One. If the PC version outdoes the PS4 version even, I'll be very suprised.
If Rockstar got console like sales on PC, I'm sure they would make it so that the PC version releases along side the console version initially. Only, they don't. Which is weird consideing the install base of PC and Steam users. Which begs the question, do PC gamers even buy games? :P
GTA since GTA3 was a PS timed exclusive. It wasn't until GTA4 did it really go multiplat.
@clyde46: I kind of understand you but I think you weren't really that interested in the first place if you're just gonna be put off by delays. I could wait another full year no problem if that meant I could get GTA V on PC. I refuse to play it on last gen consoles (and I don't have a current gen one). I mean seriously, there are always other games to play while we wait...

Don't put words in my mouth. I was excited for this PC release, I was excited to play it at 1080p and soon to be 4K. I was excited to play it with a superior control scheme but its been delayed 3 times without a lot of clear evidence for it.
It looks better because it can. Not because they care more about PC gamers.
I've seen you post on these forums, and we've had discussions before. Don't say stuff you don't actually believe yourself.
Rockstar provides 4K support, higher settings than current versions, higher draw distance, higher density, a movie editor, a new radio station, ... all that because they don't care about PC gamers ?
Common man, really ?

afterthought sounds like a good thing after all...
GTAV for PC 2560x1440, 60fps, ultra high settings, MODS, control scheme of your choice, etc
VS
GTAV for consoles 1280x720, 20-25fps, ultra low settings, NO MODS, etc
Poor herms. Getting 2013 games in 2015...how the mighty have fallen.
Game. Singular.
Meanwhile consoles miss out on or wait for far more titles.
-"Waited": Minecraft, Crysis, DiabloIII, Witcher2, Planetside2, Elite, and ended up with worse editions. (Opposite of PC, who gets best versions after waiting).
-"Never going to even get": tons of 80%+ AAA games....it's just TOO many to list. PC's library is always best!

Ummm....you're going off topic.
Topic is GTA V.
A year and a half delay for the biggest blockbuster release ever. I'm surprised they didn't squeeze out a mobile version before the PC one as well. I see even some hardcore hermies are bailing on this game after all the delays, which means even less earnings on the steam version.
Devs know that if they wanna get paid, console gamers have the cash. PC gamers save up pennies for steam sales and cry when the game doesn't run well on their mom's laptop.
