GTA4 (graphically) isn't that great. (56k)

Now of course the game looks so freaking fun! But the thing is the graphics honestly do not look that great considering it is a next gen game and all, and it doesn't look a whole lot better than Saints Row IMO. It does look better though, just not very much. I know GTA4 in the end will be a much better game.

well i mean i cant be expected to be the best thing ever because its a open ened sanbox game but i think its look real good better thans row to in saints row everthing looked so bland and nothing had any detail to it GTA has these thingsGen007

so is STALKER clear sky, and thats a very good looking game.

When looking at it's graphics, you have to consider the scale of a GTA game. Obviously you can't expect it to have AI for all pedestrians, lifelike traffic, buildings to go in and have it look like Crysis. Graphical compromises have to be made in a game like this in order for the frame rate to remain smooth.

When you consider the scale of GTA 4, I don't understand how someone can think it looks unimpressive.

all im saying that is GTA and siants row are probably the best your gonna get on this type of game on current gen consoles you cant expect it to look much better but GTA looks alot better than saints row than you ask me

have no idea what you are talking about.

there is alot more to graphics than tectures and polygons.

When did I mention Saints Row? for the record, I havnt liked GTA since Vice and GTA4 looks WAY better with its grittier look than Saints Row plastic clean look.

Agreed. I think it looks great, but he IS right about the past ones looking like crap just cuz. ALL their games looked pretty crappy last gen.

GTA 3 looked great for its time, 4 looks good enough. Im sure the game will be great.

I don't think it does anything new though. They seem to have made little progress with the series over the last while. Its still a winning formula I guess.
