Well, like you said thats what you think, its an opinon. And there are many people who disagree. I think there are better candidates, but its a good game and I wouldn't be suprised if it won.

Well, what do you think should have won? thats just it, people hate on GTA 4 just because. The only other game that could be considered is MGS4. From personal preference, I say GTA4 because it was totally awsome, but I wouldn't be against an MGS4 GOTY either.
the reason i think i should not have won was that it was just not there yet a great game yes but it can not beat MGS4 in story, style ect ect. I never said i do not like the game but if you think it beats MGS then thats fine but i hated the ending of GTA4 and the over all story seemed played out to me.
I think people really expected the world from GTA 4. For me it brought everything I expected it to be, so I was happy with the game. I never expected crazy military jet flying - 100 different minigames - going on the RPG tour crazyness. I just expected it to seriously improve on all the basic concepts of grand theft auto with a nice story, setting and set of missions around it. It delivered on that - although the missions could have been better.
I had always said that I dont see how a exclusive game would get game of the year. While I know a great deal of guys will disagree with GTA 4 getting game of the year...its not like a unworthy game got it. GTA4 is still one of the best games this gen.
