cod 4 was meh to me ( sp ) but there was one mission that was good ( the sniper one) while mgs4 was completely out of this world, awesome story, awesome gameplay graphics etc etc
Well considering MGS4 is one of the best games i've ever played, actually, probably the best i've ever played, then id say that. Halo 3 and COD4 have incredible multiplayer though.
I guess Halo 3 by default. GTA 4 has too many gameplay and design issues, CoD 4 is too shallow and I haven't played MGS4. However I'm still playing Mass Effect and STALKER. Hooray for reviews?
This is the order I'd put these games in, and it's the right order. Call of Duty's single player may not be on par with MGS4's, but it makes up for it in infinate replayabiliy. GTA4 is the funnest to just play around in, and I found Halo 3 only fun for about 2 months.
lolwat. It was fun for a few hours, then I realized how overrated this **** was.
Call of Duty 4
Multiplayer was fun for a bit, single-player lacked a lot. Got bored with it after 30-40 hours on multiplayer and beating single player once. I think maybe I'm just sick of FPS.
GTA4
This was the most fun for me. Definitely just a LOAD of fun to play. Great game.
MGS4
Haven't played yet since I don't own a PS3 and might never, but it looks great. I bet if I had a PS3 and this game it would win, no doubt.
Most Single player games I tend to at least play once or twice and move on to another game. There has been exceptional games like Ninja Gaiden series or KoToR. Same can be said on MP games if it is bad or tacted on like Kane & Lynch. For me good MP games give good re-playability.
I like the type of games Infinity Ward has produced over the years even when they worked for EA and made Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. They always made quality SP campaigns. COD4 is a fun game both sp and mp. Even with some of the flaws in the MP maps it is a enjoyable game.
Halo is a great game SP and MP. Campaign is fun, but there is a limit on how many times you can play until you get bored of it like most any shooter campaign games. The game really shines on the multiplayer game. What I like about this fps game besides how fun it is. It's how different it is compare to other shooters out there.
My vote has to be Halo 3 due to the multiplayer. COD4 mp is fun, but after a while I lost interest. I think it has to do with the similar type of games I played over the years like CS and RSV.
GTA4 was fun, but I got bored of the SP after a month and the MP sucked to be honest.
COD4 had a great campaign but was short and while the MP was addicting for a couple of weeks I soon lost interest in it. It's so boring compared to Halo 3.
Halo 3 is what I enjoy the most. It has an awesome singleplayer. I finished it like 12 times. Forge was a blast and the MP was better than COD4 in my opinion (mostly because I like to use vehicles).
I haven't played MGS4 but from what I've seen the game looks damn fun.
Since I have only experimented with MGO a little, I'll have to say "dido" there. You could argue that right now the multiplayer portion of MGS4 is just a trial and therefore not actually part of the game. Good idea at first glance but could end up rubbing people the wrong way. Honestly though, until you beat MGS4 on "The Boss: Exteme" with a "perfect" playthrough (read: no Alerts, no kills, no continues/health items, under 5 hrs) you could always go back and play more. I'm on my second play through right now.
I'm not going to include MGS4 as of now because I've only had if for 4 days and I would say it wins for both just SP and Multiplayer just because I'm hooked onto it right now and I don't know how long it will last. MGS:O beta was pretty addicting though and I played it everyday for at least an hour (came out during finals). I'll wait a month until I can really answer this.
SP: GTA4 (2nd GTA game I finished completely through because it was so enjoyable)
MP: COD4 (Search and destroy is the closest thing to CS in a long time and I love it)
