Nothing to fight about except graphics, and even then, it will be the cows saying PS3's graphics aer best, and the lemming saying the 360's graphics are best, when it will prolly look the same on both.
It's amazing how tight lipped they have been on GTA so far, I am kind of glad actually, the last time I was sick of hearing all the hype about it before it released.
There hasn't been any info released other than the title, what platforms it comming on, and the fact that there will be extra downloadable content for both systems. Lets wait to start a war on this game. I will be buying it for PS3 though... because I have a PS3 and no Xbox 360. I think this war should be fought with people with both systems. That way they actually have something to argue points on. It goes both ways. If someone who owns an Xbox 360 and no PS3 wants the game... they wont be buying the PS3 version. It's a duh factor :|

More processing power? You mean the 3.2 ghz of the ps3 vs. the three 3.2 dual core processors in the 360? Take COD3, fo' example... 360 version had double the framerate online and off. Not to mention rumble, achievements, etc etc etc. There isn't even an argument to end here.

Sorry man i think the Ps3 as already proven its not up to par with the 360. All the multiplatform games look and play better on 360. This idea cows have that someone is going to flip a switch and we'll see the same leap over we did when Xbox 1 was released against the Ps2 is just a pipe dream. That will never happen and you know it. Upon release hundreds of threads will be created basing opinions off of screen shots and pointing out every jaggy. It is really dumb the way most battles in here are fought, personally, I doubt I'd spend the money on both copies, but seeing as I'll own both systems by October (God permitting) I'd rent the PS3 version.

Actually thats R* tradition both San Andreas and Vice City weren't shown in public before May-ish then were both released in winter. I expect the first news around the end of april in OPS3 (the UK official PS3 mag which revelead San Andreas and Vice City to us first).
Umm, PS3 just came out a few months back, and all the multiplatform games have been ported from 360. If GTA4 is developed primarily on 360 and ported for PS3, then it'll suck for PS3. I dont think that's the case though. It'll be a judgement call I think. Some effects will be better on 360 and some will be better on PS3.Â

well, my guess is since 360 is easier to dev for, thats what it will be made ground up on, then ported to ps3..if rockstar needs to get it done faster that is.

You're missing his point. 360 had been out for over a year when these compared games came out while for PS3 they were rushed launch titles. Launch titles always look like crap compard to second gen games.Â

Well, having achievements and stuff to shoot for is better than not having them.
As for Downloadable content, Rockstar announced that the 360 was getting exclusive downloadable content. Whether or not the PS3 even gets exclusive downloadable content is unknown.
I agree with the original paragraph. I'm sure certain things will look better on the 360 whereas certain things will look better on the PS3. They'll be about even visually in the end. It'll come down to exclusive DL content and if you want achievements or not really (also which console you own obviously).

You do realize that he made that up, right? It's already been stated that the games will be similar in terms of content on the disc to begin with. It's certain DL content that will be different and exclusive on the 360.

at the moment with no screenshots we can't tell which version will look better but we do know 360 will have exclusive downloadable content and achievements therefore at the minute we have to assume the 360Â GTAÂ is better.
It’s going to be the same game, and I doubt it will look bad on either system. Right now, I just want to know where it takes place and what the main character will look like.
All I can say is that if the PS3 doesn't offer custom soundtracks, then the 360 has a real edge there. The custom soundtrack feature was a big reason I preffered the Xbox version of San Andreas (even though drive-bys were a lot tougher on the Type-S.)

Then why did the developer of Lair himself say that the game wouldn't be possible on the 360 in its current form? Sounds like an issue of processing power to me

maybe both will get exclusive content... but that doesnt actually make a game any better or worse fact is they will be the same game, the only probable difference is graphics... ok so maybe they have all been ported 360 games so far but isnt the x360 actually more graphically powerful, as a fact not as a dig at ps3 fans... and im pretty sure i read it from this site as well.... also if the ps3 is going to take a couple years before it is reaching its potential, then gta4 will not be seeing that potential anyway so what does it matter. i heard (very early) that it was going to be set in london tokyo or beijing, more recently i have just been hearing the latter 2
It's not processing power he was discussing... I recall that interview as well. It's because Factor 5 is intentionally using as much of the Blue Ray's storage capacity (at the behest of Sony) to make the largest, most uncompressed level textures ever... primarily as a means of justifying the inclusion of the Blue Ray drive by saying "It couldn't have been done without Blue Ray." But that's without even considering a solution using DVD-9 and streaming technology which would have been the case if Sony hadn't paid them off to be exclusive. So it just sounds like a guy who knows how to suck up to his publisher, who also happens to be the hardware maker.
It hasn't been any info, and the games will probably play the same, and almost the same in graphics. But the xbox owners will get exclusive downloadable content, that's at least confirmed:)
