GTA4 on Xbox360 or PS3?

I have both the xbox360 and ps3, but i can't decide which platform to buy gta4 on. I want to buy it on ps3 because i had the other gta games on the ps2 but i want to buy it on the xbox360 because i like xbl more then the ps3's online service. But may everyone give me the differences on the two versions.

Back on topic, I own both 360 and PS3 and Im choosing the PS3 version, the gamepad is better, the online on PS3 is gonna be just fine seeing as how this is probably gonna be the highest selling title for PS3, plus doesn't PSN get some sort of exclusive feature like 16 player online as opposed to XBL's 14?

The exclusive content will not come out for a long time so I'll wait and see if it's worth it, I'm also against paying for this content, it really has to be worth it.

Regardless, the game is going to deliver and be more than enough initially.

360 and I'm actually going to list reasons why unlike alot of people.

1 360 version gets the exclusive DLC that Microsoft paid $50mill for.

2 Reports stating the reason for the delay untill April was because of problems with the PS3 version.

3 This is an opinion piece but I have preffered the controls in previous Xbox GTA releases, using the Triggers for the Gas and Break pedals. But if you didn't like them or never tried them then put this point under PS3 then.

He would be more use to the PS2 controller, but he didnt mention anywhere in his thread that he preferred the PS2 controller over the 360s. Also the PS2s online system was pretty bad, I doubt anyone would buy a game trying to reproduce that experience, and they aren't the same tasting one is getting exclusive content(360) while the other is not(PS3).

I mean with development costs of Like 10 Million - 40 Million in Making games, 50 Million sounds like it so be more than Able to make some huge game

You're in for a rude awakening buddy, you obviously have not been following this game nearly as closely as I have. The 360 version looks slightly better at the moment, runs slightly smoother, will have very large downloadable missions, achievements, etc.

im gonna get it on 360....for the DLC and the fact that non of my friends own a PS3

Look at Half-Life 2 Episodes 1 and 2. Both of those COMBINED don't even come close to the size of Half-Life 2. Same with Shivering Isles expansion for Oblivion. It is a big expansion, but it isn't even remotely close to the size of Oblivion.

I see it as this, the content can end up being amazing, or being terrible, I would rather have the game that will be able to play the extra content if it turns out to be amazing, nothing bad will happen to 360 users if the content turns out terrible, but if it is amazing PS3 users will be missing out. With the PS3 you will either be missing out, or being even.

(I doubt 50 mil worth of content is going to turn out bad).

Then what was the point of giving a link to something that doesnt even support your own claims? I dont understand what your saying now, earlier it was "all previews say PS3 version is superior", now its only some? Also Rockstar might say that the PS3 version is better if it was, nothing stopped them from saying the 360 version is the "definitive" version.

If you at least own any two of those games, buy it on the 360 beyond any shadow of any doubt. Clearly you're a GTA fiend and the 360 version will have the extra content that a GTA fiend would want. Even if you only have 1, if you like GTA and would ever consider getting more versions or expansions, the 360 is the way to go. Only reason to buy it on PS3 is if you don't have a 360.
