GTA5 and the PS4.

gta drops in september and the ps4 most likely in october or november is there any possibility of a ps4 version? i suppose you could say theres no chance in hell of that happening but what if it does? can you imagine gta5 being a ps4 launch title? could we possibly see some kind of e3 surprise announcement? i really dont think rockstar will miss this golden oppritunity.

That's what I'm thinking. And TC, it's not exactly a "golden opportunity". It would cost rockstar ridiculous amounts of money to make a new version of the game for the PS4 (especially if it would be heavily upgraded, as it would have to be, to justify a whole new, next-gen console version), and if it were a launch title, it would be guaranteed to barely sell any copies, compared to the other versions, because of the limited install base of the new platform.

So, no, rockstar definitely would take a pass on that "golden opportunity", and it wouldn't be stupid to do so.

Honestly, I would have preferred it as a PS4 Launch title. But what  can you do.

Exactly. But that certainly wouldn't be in time for the PS4 launch.

I could see Rock Star using a PS4 port as a stop-gap to the PC version.  Perhaps it will release a few months down the road on PS4 as a result?  It would make the most sense from the developer aspect.

if it launched on next gen consoles and PC only they would fly off the shelves. But rockstar doesn't care about console sales only sales of their game so it doesn't matter if it comes on PS4 or not it will sell millions.

No, people bought the 360 because if the games and price it had, not because it was made by Microsoft.

People bought the PS3 because it was made by the same puerile as the PS2. It definitely had nothing to do with price or games because it was expensive and has way less games than the competition.
