We need to see them both implemented to make a call.
Why pay $50 USD a year to play games when I could just play them for free instead?foxhound_foxIt's free if you already have a Live account for your Xbox 360. Which I have but I unfortunately bought a Mac Book Pro a month ago so I don't think I'll be getting a Vista any soon.

Live Anywhere is just an expansion to the live user base and still cant match up to what home can be.

No he cant, since you need Vista, and you cant dual boot on apple's with Vista, only Xp. though I am sure that will be fixed.

as people ignored me before, on "on the spot" they said that pc gamers will only pay if they want to host games but it will be free for them to play others online. At least thats what they said.

many games dont require you to Host servers in the traditional sence. Many games, (in particular Halo 2 which uses MS live) run on P2P, and dont require you to "Host" servers. If you are using a dedicated server, then forcing you to pay for it is pointless, when many people Host Servers off second computers. and if MS monopolizes Server Hosting, then it will make prices much higher then what we normal spend on Server Hosting.[QUOTE="mr-sheep"]It's a great concept :P Being able to play cross-platform with PC people with my Xbox 360 is GREAT!!! We need to see them both implemented to make a call. It's nowhere near as good as HOME because almost no PC gamer will pay 50 bucks a year no matter what you might think. HOME is free and WILL be downloaded by almost every single PS3 user. Then add to the fact that Windows Vista sucks @ss right now for driver support. I own a 7900GTX and I can't even play games on VISTA!!! Whack!
[QUOTE="dhjohns"][QUOTE="AdrianWerner"]funny...ps2 owners have been doing it for years :DAdrianWernerReally? For what games? Final Fantasy XI, Nabuaga's Ambitions Online and Uncharted Waters Online Cool didn't know. How did it fair? Where there a lot of users?

Dreamcast had Q3 crossplatform gaming. And "their servers"? THat's actualy the whole point, even in nonMMo Pc games you use decidated servers, which is why P2P that XBL uses is pathetic and completely unnaceptable for most pcgamers, it's would be like returning to 1993 all over again
