OMFG, how hard is it to understand that Halo 3 is still in its beta build. There's months left for the game to be touched up even more and honestly, they are doing quite well. Trust me, the game will look much better in a few months or so. Once that happens, COWS+SHEEP will receive massive ownage!

The style of this message made me laugh, it sounds like a desperate bid to defend Halo against doom.

Beta build is final features with gameplay tuning....  the main problem is lack of geometric detail and at this point that's really set in stone. They can throw all the effects on top of it they like but that won't compensate for lack of basic detail.

And Halo2 was by far the most disappointing game ever to me. I played hardcore Halo:CE LAN almost every weekend for 3 years and the single player probably 100 times with coop and doing cool tricks with the awesome engine...... compared to Halo:CE, Halo2 was god awful shallow casual trash. Every unqiue sublety that made the first great was lost and the single player downright bad.... Halo2 is a hollow shell of what the first game was and I don't expect 3 to be much different.

THe beta video we have seen is leaked and that map isnt even confirmed. And the picture quality wasn't that good.

So that leaves Pre alpha stuff and alpha.......seriously u cant judge a game on alpha......some times i wonder if people even know what this means.

Halo 3 will look better than gears of war mark my words it will. Its just tha bungie aren't showing its effects etc they want to keep it till the launch of halo 3.

 then again i could be wrong and it will turn out to be a 2d shooter :P

People only bash Halo3 because lemms hype it like its the 2nd coming and they apparently at looking at the same screens as everyone else and are expecting a huge leap. Maybe we cows just like to call Bill Gates on his "nothing this gen on any other console will look as good as halo3" comment. Halo fans need to wake up and realize that Halo isn't the holy grail of gaming. As long as the halo community suggests that then they will get all the bashing they deserve.jyoung312

I was let down by its campaign compared to the original but its still awesome.

I honestly thought Halo 2's campaign was better than the original's. The story alone was miles better, in my opinion.

Please, don't make the rediculous statement that the only reason people bought Crackdown was to get into the Halo beta. :|

And if you haven't seen the amount MGS4 is hyped, then I'm sorry, you really must learn to look harder.

Actually halo 2 wasn't really a letdown to me. I enjoyed the single player all right, and the multiplayer was above awesome. Actually, my 360 is just back from repairs so I'm now used to halo 2, and going back to gears and rainbow six vegas. First thing that I feel is not a downgrade or something, it's utter irritation because of the online setups from the next gen games. Also I enjoy halo 2 far more than gears because once you get past getting used to the graphics then gears is really boring.

As for bashing games, you have to have something concrete to back it up - weak graphics, cheesy voice acting, exact same gameplay as its predecessor, lack of features that should be there (ie.. career mode in a sports game). The problem is, in most cases here in SW, someone just claims to have one of these reasons or others, and it turns out to be unfounded. They hate the game for being on the platform they hate so they make biased claims of the games graphics and gameplay. Bashing is done mostly by those who are incapable of objectivity.

Hardly...do you know how long it takes to modle and rig a full 3D modle ¬_¬

you do a basic one (with all of the correct naming ect. If you change the names you need to let the coder know), hand it in so the coders have something to work with.  

After that you continue building your modle, at a VERY high polly range, then use the high poly modle to create the textures for the much lower polly version for the game.  Thus giving a better texturing effect.

Main characters in games take ages to make, why do you think Lair Dragons dont look awesome yet? most likely because they are still being tweaked.
