Reasons:
1. Halo was the only launch title even worth consideration. The other titles were a joke or just lame in general.
2. Halo single-handedly launched the Xbox system to a mainstream competitor.
3. Think about if Bungie had decided to opt for either of the other 2 systems or even computer (1st.) Xbox would have been on the discount rack faster than Dreamcast.
4. I don't invest in Xbox or Xbox360 for the pure and simple fact that the system has almost no first party support whatsoever. That includes even the mighty Halo series. The only entity that even comes to mind is PGR.
Halo 1 and 2: Computer
Fable: Computer
Elder Scrolls series: Computer/PS3
Gears of War: Computer (TBA)
(Mark my words, Halo 3 will come out for PC within the next 5 years, and w/o that stupid yearly fee to boot.)
If anybody has any insight as to why they bought the Xbox or 360 for a reason other than Halo, please post. Am I the only person that notices this?
I will admit to this, unnecessary yearly fee aside and not counting computer, the Xbox is the king of online competition and organization.
NOTICE: Do NOT confuse this post of mine with the underlying idea that I don't like the Halo series. I do, in fact, enjoy Halo to a very large degree and I wholeheartedly support Bungie. I just get incredibly hot in the face when people can't/won't admit that Halo was the only reason to own an Xbox and subsequently the 360.
