Guitar Hero 3 - PS3 or 360?

I've been going back and forth between either versions and I still can't seem to decide which version to get. Here's my dilemma: On one hand, the 360 version's got achievements andextra content on XBL, but I'll never get the co-op achievements since I always play it alone and some of the othersare pretty hard to get.

On the other hand, the PS3 version's perfect for playing offline, and there's no incentive to get any achievements, and personally I'm one to follow tradition, with the Guitar Hero series first appearing on Sony's console, so I'dlike tocontinue with that.Downside is there isn't any extra content like on XBL which, unfortunately is a great way to extend my time with the game.

I know all in all it's down to my preference, but whichever platform I go with, the other's gonna get Rock Band. Which one would you pick? Help me out please! Thanks in advance.

There is extra content on PSN. I double checked in case, there are a couple of extra songs now, and I'm sure more will be added later on. So IMO, PS3 is the way to go.

i only own a ps3 and truthfully teh 360 version is way more polished.sometimes you see these huge corregated textures of the crowd in the ps3 version and its the dowloadable tracks and achievements that sell the 360 version.plus you can get away with not buying one of the newer guitars but they are the best weve seen.k-diddy66

Yeah but if I get the 360 version, that leaves Rock Band for the PS3, because I want each console to have a "beatmatch" game. I mean my ps3's really suffering this year. only got 2 games for it over the past few months, but I got 5 for the 360 within 2 months. And for some reason, Rock Band doesn't feel right with the PS3. But still one of them's gotta go there.

There may be some in the US store, but the European store(mine) is totally void of them.

Isnt there a free Halo 3 song for the 360 version of GH3?

Is the Wii version different at all? I might get it for the Wii seeing as its the only console in the living room, 360 being connected the the monitor and sound card.Meu2k7

That's about the only pro you listed for the PS version.

Anyway, GH3 blows. Slapped together too fast.
Bad editing, audio quality inconsistent, gameplay distorted.

That doesn't matter to me dude, it's the songs that count. I play the guitar so I guess that's just me. But thanks for the input though.

Seriously, it's this simple; pick up whatever version you like best.
And if you despise buying your PS3 and actually buy games for it that you wanted in an other version in the first place... then it's time to sell it maybe?

Either that or wait for better (exclusive) games to show up.

Get the Xbox 360 version, because you can mod it, like adding songs, removing some etc.. ( I think it's legal if you own the game).

leave rock band for the PS3 since there's not that much that can be done on that game.
