I can finally make polls!

I'm pretty tired of music games, but Guitar Hero WoR has a great setlist, a setlist for the fans, not the casuals. This should have been Guitar Hero 4 (I hated WT, disliked 5)It's what the Guitar Hero3 fans wanted.I really don't like Rock Band 3s current setlist. It's mostly "this song is popular, lets put it in there!" instead of "this song should be fun to play". The new guitar for RB3 (which is optional) is pretty pricey, and I already play THEREAL GUITAR so it seems unecessary. But it looks like it could possibly teach me new songs. I did prefer Rock Band 2 over WT and 5 though.

If I were to get one, it would be Rock Band 3. At least they are doing something new.

There won't even be a contest, Rock Band 3 will be miles ahead. Better song list, if the pattern continues (though as of now GHWoR has a better list); massive backlog of DLC; ability to import songs from 1 & 2; keyboard as an instrument; and pro mode.

Rock Band 3 the Rock Band series always does something new unlike the Guitar Hero series.

Though I do like some of the songs in Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock I just don't like the interface of Guitar Hero it is unplayable IMO since I played Rock Band.

Rock Band 3 maybe, eventually. Not interested in more plastic instruments. Learning instruments on the other hand...

Guitar Hero Warriors tracks suck. Just give a crap load of 60-80 rock, hard rock. But thats never gonna happen.

not a fan of keyboards or the RB gems. the "learn how to play the real instruments" is an awesome idea, but i'm not buying a real guitar for a game. the full pack will be waaaaaay too expensive. so i'm sticking with GH once again.

read the rest of my post, which explains why i'm not getting RB3. i said i prefer the GH gameplay, so i'm getting GH. i'd consider RB3 because of the new thing, but since it's too expensive, i'm not.

I can't belive the people think that the real guitar with RB3 will actualy be good... And you need an amp to play a real guitar anyways, which i doubt you'll get with RB3...

Rock Band 3.

Rock Band 2 is still better than most of the GH games released recently.

I have high hopes for Rock Band 3.

Setlist wise is GH:WoR so far, RB3 haven't announced many of their songs. BUt so far I'm leaning towards GH, but I'll probably end up getting both:P

If nothing else, we should all be supporting Rock Band 3 because it's not published by Activision.

Besides the fact RB3 has new instruments (real Guitar's, Bass, etc.), added 3 miic support, keyboards, and uses all the old songs from RB1 and RB2, and besides the fact that RB3 will be better than GH in almost every single way (due to the fact RB is made by GH creator's Harmonix)...the other issue is this.

RB has also demonstrated loyalty to their fans by releasing over 1000+ songs for RB all these years, and will continually show DLC support for fans. GH support has been inconsistant, and changes with the new games that are released.

If nothing else, we should all be supporting Rock Band 3 because it's not published by Activision.

That's how I feel. RB3 all the way. :P

Although I do think Activision is going the correct route and not trying to compete directly with Rock Band anymore by making the game appeal more as a game in an arcade sense than a band simulator, I still do not think it is enough. Rock Band 3 is going to be the absolute pinnacle of the music genre as it incorporates up to 7 band mates simultaneously, over 1000 songs (approaching 2000) and consistent fan-feed back to give the consumer exactly what they want out of their investments. Guitar Hero will be fun and has a decent setlist, but it will be completely overshadowed by Rock Band 3

I still can't believe people actually still support GH! That franchise should've been buried by Rock Band 2 years ago. Seriously, why would anyone pick GH over RB at this point!?

It's unfortunate that this library of 1000+ songs will be halfway worthless with the launch of RB3. I wonder what they'll charge for RB3 tracks? Stands to reason that it takes more time to tune those. There's what? Six difficulties now? And a keyboard.

You can still play those 1000+ songs on Rock Band 3. If you only bought the Keyboard for Rock Band 3 you can still play Guitar or Bass parts on the keyboard for songs that don't have a keyboard part.

Rock Band easily. The on disc setlist doesn't really matter anymore for me. Theres so much DLC that one can find something he likes very quickly.

And Pro Mode is the next leap in music games.

Though Rock Band is better, I'm definitely a much bigger fan of Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock doesn't have the best GH setlist, but also not the worst. I've yet to see Rock Band 3's setlist. At the same time, I'd get really irked not having to be able to play the game fully on even as much the single player mode, but don't want to add another gaming peripheral. All in all, it's a toss up...if I get one of the two and I'm not sure yet. Lots of great wii titles between now and the end of the year.

Once I saw Bleed It Out (yeah I'm a LP fan), Uprising, and a few other tracks (can't remember than all right now just hit a few I listened to recently) I knew I had to buy it. It has music I like which means they get rewarded with my money, plus I like the look of the new guitar. Even more it's an excuse to get a music game other than DJ Hero on my PS3.

Rock Band 3 for me, even if you don't like the setlist, there's always the DLC that you can buy to augment the setlist. Plus, with keyboards, six string guitars, and 3-vocal harmony, it should be a purchase for me.

Rock Band 3 is actually innovating. You can play with REAL instruments and the game will teach you how to play them in real life. That is a friggin' big deal if you ask me. And on top of that, they're adding a brand new instrument to the mix via in the form of a keyboard. That's a heckuvalot for one installment to add, and I'm pretty sure that if you buy Rock Band 3 you'll be set for another good couple of years. Guitar Hero Warriors is just another Guitar Hero game. Nothing new to see here. It's like a repeat of the Guitar Hero 3 vs. Rock Band battle, except this time I'm pretty sure Rock Band will win since it's got something new to bring to the table.

That's incorrect. Any electric guitar can be played functionally without an amp if you have even so much as a computer, which I'm betting almost everyone does. So even away from your console and game the real guitar controller should be workable through the audio line in. Granted, without a distortion pedal or software that adds effects you would be limited to a clean sound. So the odds are you already have a few amps, you've just never bothered to learn how to use them as such

Anyone else agree that Guitar Hero 2 had the best setlist? Bad-School-Girl

There's been so many of them out there that I can't say I'd know for sure.

GH2 was personally my 2nd favorite setlist out of box, after The Beatles. But GH2 was great. It's hard to even think of those games the same way though, now that I've got such a large collection of DLC. These days, the features would draw more attention from me than the initial setlist.
