Oh, so that's why I've seen all those "Where can I find a PS3?"-threads popping up in other forums related to gaming in the last half year?
/sarcasm
Edit: my sarcasm detector is broken too!Â
Just wait until Sony can produce enough Blue Diodes ... Just wait..farnham

Look at the sales numbers so far, then look at the number of PS3's that Sony has stated they have shipped so far. Now do the simple math.
Â
Sony does have a supply problem, but their problem is that their supply is too great and they are going to have to scale back production. For Sony to claim that they are supply constrained is laughable.Â

No and no. Nintendo has a supply problem even though they are pumping out Wiis very quickly. Sony doesn't have a supply problem. See, in order for there to be a supply problem, there has to BE DEMAND. PS3 doesn't have demand and I ALWAYS see PS3s just sitting at Gamestop, Bestbuy, etc. I NEVER see a Wii anywhere.Â

I think you need to read what I wrote again. I am saying that Sony has too much supply. They are either going to have to scale back production so that not as many are being made, or they are going to have to store a ton of PS3s in warehouses until demand picks up.
I was in no way saying that Sony is supply constrained.Â
