Still excited or is this going in to the bargain bin?

Wasn't excited by the first released footage, not terribly excited by this either. Looks like a more barebones, streamlined version of DayZ with a more polished engine and very little detail when it comes to the actual gameplay. With how necessary and integral crafting is to the gameplay, it looks like a lot of work than fun. Something like this is definitely a lot more appropriate for consoles than DayZ.
Im kinda sick of zombie survival games. I want a modern day alien invasion survival game dammit!
Is destiny that? Serious question, I didn't play the beta?
Nah, that looks like more of an MMO and its still pretty futuristic.
I'll give it a try on release.

That would be...awesome.

I don't understand how this game is "barebones." I'm not dismissing your opinion but I am curious as to how you came to that conclusion.

Bah, just give me a game that has aliens invading an Earth that has been overrun by zombies.

Hmnmm...interesting. How's 'bout we throw in a comet heading for the earth in that scenario as well? Crank up the catastrophe to 11, motherfuckers.
Looks booring, state of decay is much more fun
SoD is pretty fun but how could you have possibly formed a complete opinion of H1Z1 from just videos? Seems silly to me.
I don't understand how anybody could say that this looks boring. This looks like the type of zombie game I've been wanting for a long time and it has a quality studio behind it so hopefully it should not have all the problems that DayZ has. This game is at the top of my most anticipated list.

This.
1000 people per server and stable is amazing. They are incorporating so many ideas into the game. Its am really excited to try it out.
This must be the ugliest game at e3. Wasn't excited for this and aren't anymore excited for it now
its pre alpha.. of course its gonna look like shit
Okay then.
@The_Last_Ride: "Still excited or is this going in to the bargain bin?"
The only answer is an unequivocal yes very excited!

DayZ has tons of different various items and different versions of those items, with an advanced medical system, different versions of crafting recipes, etc. For example, there are hundreds of different articles of clothing in DayZ, but I have yet to see any amount of variation of clothing in this game.
From what I've seen, this game so far has an archtype slim crafting system not a ton of variation in items or item functionality. In this game, if you pick up a stick, you can't use it to bash in your enemies - you'd use it exclusively for crafting. In DayZ, you can bash people in with that stick. That's the difference between these games.

Its a coop, not mmo. If Destiny is sort of an MMO so is BF4.

Ah. I see.
I think I need to play DayZ, then. >_>

Also, unlike H1Z1, DayZ uses a weapon ballistics system (a variation of ArmA 2's) which is a lot more complicated and realistic than your average shooter's. Sniping in DayZ for example, you'd have to take into account the speed of the bullet as well as the drop. H1Z1 so far has only shown a rather basic weapons system.

If you do don't even waste money on the standalone. Play the mod.
Honestly and this is my biased opinion but I'd just wait for H1Z1. It's already made so much progress in such a short time. From what I've gathered it's weeks away they've already started working on servers and rulesets, so it won't be long.

How does a free to play game go into a bargain bin?
Well you know what i meant
Depends how fleshed out the building is, i've always been into building stuff within games so if that looks solid then i'll pick it up.
