These shorts make me glad the halo 3 movie was put on hold. It looks more corny than starship troopers, but at least starship troopers was TRYING to be corny.Shazenab

Watching a crappy youtube quality video hardly does it justice. I'll wait for it to be properly released. Blomkamp is very, very good and technical effects.

Its hardly mindless halo bashing. i have halo 3 on pre-order, my bashing is directed towards these shorts. i didn't like the e3 one, I dont like this one and as a two hour movie I doubt I'd like it either. The only bit of that whole short I liked was the banshee flying over head.

Come on... there is a wall just around 10 feet wide, 8 high... and it doesn't extend anywhere, isn't part of a building or what not... it is pretty ridiculous. The firefight wasn't intense at all... The original short was 99.32% better.

i agree about the video quality. On youtube it looks VERY meh, but on a big screen that could be sick. They need a better battle field than a bunch of walls to though.

I think what people dont understand are that these shorts are clearly the scenes that weta work shop had supposidly done (according to bungie) and i dont understand how people think this quality should be maintained through out a whole film.Shazenab

so are you saying that the quality is not good enough for a whole film?

I don't think weta is gonna go all out for a short film like this, it's just to give us a taste of what is capable of being done, just seeing the dropship with the Warthog is nice to see, but imagine when they are working on the full feature film, I'm pretty sure and confident that it will make the short look like I did it on a 10 year old PC. hehe, well they better!

i would understand these complaints if this was a movie trailer but this is just a small project. its hardly gonna go all out.

as long as they didnt mess up anything major(halo world itself) i am happy.

but tahts the thing- You dont measure movies by a graphical standerd, you measure them by acting and directing first and foremost. the graphics in that trailer were great but everything else was lacking. Yeah its a short and most of the acting was grunts and taunts, but still I just got a feeling that the full movie would be eye candy and nothing else.

lol, ok i'll give it a look see, I love the first one, don't even remember if I saw the second one, question, did you feel the way you feel because of clerks 2 or did you feel that way before?

I love lord of the rings, don't know about Gimli and his stupid antics, but hey what can you do?
