Basically one of the advantages of episodic distribution that is to release the games as early as possible is no longer valid?

grrrrr. the point of the episodes was so they'd come out frequently. I'd rather wait for a full new game than have the episodes be delayed over and over.

As good as Valve might be at creating games... they SUCK at doing episodic content.
