Does HL2 on the PC look just as good as in The Orange Box on the 360?

From what I've played, HL2 on PC looks a bit crisper and runs much smoother.

The 360 version of Half-Life 2 runs on the Source 2007 engine, so it looks a bit better than HL2 on the PC in terms of texture quality and lighting (the PC version has yet to get the Source 2007 upgrades). However, higher resolutions allow the PC version to look sharper.

Fakefactory's Cinematic Mod V8.0 brings the new source engine to HL2 and HL2: Episode 1.

It also provides texture updates, some higher polygon models, and some other additions.

360 version has HDR added in. On the other hand it also has jaggies, 30fps and lack of AF and most of all no FakeFaktory mod

I'm sorry, but FakeFactory looks like crap. I honestly can't imagine anyone thinking that this mod actually improves the look of the game. They've absolutely ruined the character models.

I like the steps they take to make things look more detailed, but hate the changes to character models they do.

Well, you don't have to use the new models, you can just use the enviorements textures and they do make everything look better. And I disagree.. Fakefaktory character models are huge improvement, especialy the less important NPCs, plus the main ones have multiple models to choose from, so there's something for everyone
