i think the are the same just halo got a better story line.

Resistance's single player was much more interesting. The multiplayer was decently done as well but I didn't play it too much.

Halo 2. Better story, better campaing(yes i know bad ending and arbiter is somebody most people didnt like), better online, yes resistance had 40 player online. But Halo 2 had more variety in matchmaking, gamemodes, maps, vehicles, more balanced weapons(although Halo 2 wasnt that balanced but Halo 3 sure is).
