I definately think so. Halo 3 is basically refining what Halo 2 so great which will certainly turn some people off. To me, the bread and butter of Halo 2 and 3 is the multiplayer and I don't want a completely different game than Halo 2 because I loved it so much.
It's going to be a love it or hate it game...I'm certain that I will love it.
Halo 3 is gonna sell more than every other FPS combined probably. IMO Halo and Halo 2 were horrendus but it already has 4+ million pre-orders and I think it will sell around 10 million.
Gameplay wise, meh. Its no different from any other boring FPS. Who cares though..

Counterstrike?
I doubt it will be an AAA game, if it is then it will further my belief that reviewers are indeed brainless zombies who will give casual crap good reviews yet give all the innovative games lower scores (I am looking you GS for Red Steel, which wasnt THAT bad!) just because the controls are not perfect or there are a few minor flaws in the game.DSgamer64
Everyone is wrong and you're right: Halo is crap and Red Steel is awesome. :|
With the hi-res X-Box 1 graphics, no online co-op, crappy trailers, and gameplay improvements that involve dropping bubbles, can Halo 3 honestly compete with this winter's onslaught of titles coming? You what's really sad, I'm saying this and I own a 360! By the way, I'm typing this on a PS3.chaotzu
I think you make a good argument. I've seen many jaws drop around here since this info leaked.
I think your way off base about the graphics and gameplay though. The beta featured tight controls and amazing graphics. The vistas were great. At time I felt the graphics were life like. Now granted, the whole beta was missing AA, but the lighting and realtime reflections were stunning.
I kind of see where Bungie is coming from though. Out of every co-op experience online the distance and amount of enemies were never as large as what Halo 3 is bringing to the table. Your always in a tight nit area, and never too far from your teammate.
With Halo 3 I could be with 3-5 troops fighting a bunch of enemies. Meanwhile, my teammate is with 2 other ODST's and causing all kinds of havoc across way across the level.
We're definately getting system link co-op, but online co-op may be a few more months down the road. I still think that it will ship with online co-op, but if it doesn't then the game will get a 9.5 anyway.
Peace.

Everyone has a different opinion, that's the beauty of them. Sure you're free to share it, but that doesn't mean everyone else is wrong. Just because you think something is overrated doesn't mean it is.
MP never caught on with me, It just looks good, but when playing it I see tracer sniper rounds, rocket pistols, flouresent grenades, and grenades that dont go off until they are stationary, armoured vehicles that redirect damage to the driver (at least back then), useless machine gun, the favoured map Blood Gultch where people on to of their spawn points can physically see the other teams base (good one  ), and a **** load of campers.
Like I said; looks interesting, but raises eyebrows to the point where you get cramp.
I think halo 3 shoudl go up against Red steel. it cant hang with the bigz such as COD4, UT and Haze

Yes, Bungie's track record clearly demonstrates this.

It's sad, really, because with people like you Halo 3 can't win. If it scores AAA, you'll no doubt talk trash about how overrated it is, how Killzone 2 is so much better (even though you've never touched either), maybe even throw in something about this site being "Lemspot". If it gets AA, you'll probably go on a 72-hour halo-bash marathon here on System Wars.
