I could care less, it was just a beta. I will wait until I play the final version of the game to make up my mind about it. All of that aside, it still feels the same, not like it is a bad thing though.

The good thing was the got rid of the auto-aim for the most part. The bad part was all 3 maps sucked and the new pistol is a huge dissapointment. The Spartan Laser is also incredibly stupid.
It was fun as heck. And that was only a sample of the game. Theres lots of stuff they didnt put in the beta. And some things they will change for the final game. All in all The multiplayer online is gonna own. And Halo 3 is gonna be awesome. As far as Im concerned its gonna be the High AAA its meant to be.

It's a thought, just like the question says. I can guarantee you the SL will not be used for any type of competitive play, I know that's for sure.
I had a lot of fun, at first I thought it may of been just like Halo 2 online but after playing it I thought it felt very fresh and is definatly an improvment over the last games. The game is balanced and running very smoothly and although the visuals are not mind blowing there are a lot of nice graphical touches that I think makes it above even Gears of war.
So overall I think its definatly met what a sequel should be, they have corrected almost every mistake they made with Halo 2 imo. Cant wait for the final product to finally finish the story.

Its a great way to destroy vehicles and take some lucky long distance shots. ITs a hard gun to use. But it works well on valhalla. Where u can use it to destroy the banshee(ofcourse that requires u to really line up the shot) and destroying warthogs(easier than banshee).
Halo 3 is now officially off my buy-list. Halo 2 lasted me a couple weeks due to it's "point and pull" shooting, and simplicity... the Halo 3 beta was no different. I was bored after the first 4 days.

Its implememented well into the game I reckon, its uber powerful but it leaves you vulnerable and will probably require some skill to master it, kinda like the hammer of dawn in GeoW.

But it made you slow, and you could miss, so then you're open to someone sniping you or running up with a shotgun.

Just take the guy out before they shoot you. Out of over 130 games I have played I have been hit mabye 10 times at most with it, thats out of the vehicle of course.

the trick is to learn when its about to go off then jump at the last second. 8 times out of 10 they miss when done right.

Considering they've had this beta done for close to 6 months now according to my cousin, they reall dont' have a whole ton of work cut out for them and thats why we'll see Halo 3 in just a couple months
Brute Grenades need tweaking- the area of a effect damage is pathetic.
AR needs a larger clip- 40 instead of 32 should be fine.
The needler needs to be remodeled- its one handed, but not capable of being duel wielded. This new change needs a model that occupies both hands of the MC.
Banshee needs to be tweaked- the controls are off, and less responsive then they were in halo 2.
