[QUOTE="Redgarl"][QUOTE="krp008"][QUOTE="D_Znuhtz"][QUOTE="ATrillionaire"][QUOTE="D_Znuhtz"][QUOTE="krp008"][QUOTE="D_Znuhtz"][QUOTE="DementedDragon"] I hope for the fans sake that Bungie significantly improves the graphics; because for Halo to have been the best selling game on the Xbox, the graphics weren't its' strong point. I probably shouldn't care since I don't like shooters, but for an Xbox 360 game it should be looking stellar.

Exactly what I was thinking. The graphics have never been Halo's selling point, but the amount of jaggies visible in those screens is kind of embarrassing. :( I hope it does improve as much as some of you think it will. A flagship titles first outing on a new console should look spectacular.
Dude stop crying over poor and enlarged screens and watch the video over at bungie.net. The graphics are amazingNobody is crying. If Halo 3 is bad I just won't buy a 360. No sweat off my sack. I watched the video and still didn't think it looked very good. It should look better than it does.
Why should it look better than it does? Did Bungie tell you it would?
Eh? Fanboys hyping it up for 2 years told me it would. Everyone uses the OMG GRAPHIX argument to "own" PS3 and Wii until a game looks like this, then everyone switches to "graphics aren't important, looks good for beta, the pictures don't do it justice". Halo is an awesome series, it deserves to look better than this. You know if there are the slightest graphical defects in Lair all the Boxers jump all over it and say OMG THE COLORS ON THAT ONE SOLDIER ARE WASHED OUT! and somehow ignore the insane amount of jaggies and lack of textural detail that these Halo screens show. Just be consistent. Don't be mad at me for making an observation. I see far too many jaggies for a next-gen game.
Seriously, if you watch the video and can still tell me that it looks "ok", you are blind or a fanboy. Im a huge Halo fan, i mean if there wasnt Halo i wouldnt be playing games right now, but honestly all fanboyalism aside, the graphics are pretty frickin sweet and polished. If you deny it saying "but but teh Beta should lookszzzz betterzzz! thanss datzz!", you need to go buy yourself a 360 because its obvious you dont own one.
Im just sick of fanboys trying to attack Halo 3 for no reason, bashing the graphics when they CLEARLY look impressive
Halo gameplay is generic to the bone and I don't understand all the buzz around it. I've played both game and was still not able to understand. It's so boring... it's not even fun...
And yet, people continue to play it to this day. It's one thing to not like Halo, but to troll and say really dumb things about it just because you don't like it is pretty pathetic. Ok, so it isn't Chronotrigger. It isn't supposed to be. But it is a good game and nothing you can say is going to subtract the years of fun people had with this franchise, so just chill. What makes your taste in games better than anyone elses? You do realize that not only Halo fanboys like the franchise. The previous 2 games in the franchise are reviewed just as high as any of those games you listed.
I'm not a big fan of the series but I have to respect the fact that it is still one of the most played games out there, years after release. Hell, I didn't like God of War, but I'm not going to dis it, it just isn't my type of game.
Put aside the reviews and take in consideration the test of time. Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Super Contra and other games are real gems that Halo will never really be able to overcome.
What is the difference between Halo and another FPS? I don't see any simply because I've played a good bunch of them. I'm still thinking that Turok 1 was one the greatest FPS adventure because it was fun... where is the fun in Halo... I never found any bit of it. It's not because it's been played by a huge bunch of peoples who never got their hands on a better FPS that I take it personnally. What I take personnally is that casual and hardcore buy games that doesn't deserve it.
I'm all about gameplay, but Halo doesn't got any evidence about having good gameplay. Blowing a bad guy in a game or another feel the same. Sincerely, didn't we get our bunch of deathmatch frenzy already?
Look, Goldeneye have been played for 4 to 5 years in multiplayers and now it's dead. The same will happen like any FPS I saw, even CS first itteration is now losing to the CS:S, but still CS was all about gameplay. Halo is simply the first FPS that many discovered and it will be remembered for that, not being something stellar for it's time.
