Halo 3 is just around the corner. Its prolly gonna be the biggest game of the year. Im excited, 80% of the video game community is excited and with good reason! We finall get to finish the battle that was so terribly cliff-hanged by Halo 2. But ever since we have come into the last stretch of the Halo 3 wait-athon, I have been unable to play my X360. Not because its not working (just got it repaired 1 month ago)...no its working fine...last i checked. but I'm just afraid that if I play it, the day Halo3 comes out, my X360 blow up or sumthing, and i'll have to send it to MS for repairs and we all know how that can take anywhere from 3 weeks to 3 months. Then i'll be the only kid on the block with an X360 and Halo 3 who cant play it. So for the meantime, I play my Ps3 and Wii and my X360 is on display as an ornament. Whats the world coming to when you cant play game systems in fear of them breaking. Its like the PSP...no one would play them from fear of scratching the screen >.

That's funny, I play mine all the time. Maybe you need to grow some balls.Mrcod11

I had balls....then 3 X360 failures in 1 year cut them off.

i hear what youre saying TC. but its been my expirience that the 360 only breaks when its in a bad situation. couple of examples.

my 360 broke 4 days after i put a skin on it. dumb idea on my part, and it over heated.

also my friend had a bad disc drive, he always pushed it in instead of using the button.

but with so many defects out there, its hard to deny their really is a problem with the system. so just be careful. make sure not to d/l any updates (sometimes that briks a system) and keep it in aopen area.

good luck.

p.s. see the online co-op? 4 players ftw!

BS to one part ,an update never ever bricks your system.

Yeah. thats why I have tough time relating to the "my 360 broke for the umteen time".

Personally the 360 is the best electronics device I have ever owned.

You might want to withtrack that statement, because there have been a couple of updates which bricked systems.

i said in my expirience, but later said ' but with so many defects out there, its hard to deny their really is a problem with the system'

thanks for reading my post. and i've read countless threads with people saying the guitar hero update bricked their system. do you think i'm a fake boy or something?

I guess i can understand where your coming from if you've had 3 360s fail already. But what if you don't touch it for 2 month then when you finally DO get Halo 3, you make it a few hours in and then the 360 freezes and gives the rings of death? I think it would make the wait even harder if you got a small taste of the game before the 360 craps out on you... this all of course assumes that the current 360 you have is indeed going to fail...

I know what u guys are saying, but i just cant risk it. And in the meantime it gives me time to try and complete oblivion 100% on PS3. I have it on PC but my PC cant handle it at decent settings without mad frame rate probs so PS3 it is :p

sometimes its good to play it on the safe side. you only havea montha and 2/3rds to go. its not that huge of a wait. and it will be worth it.

LOL I wouldn't even say tehere is a 100% for Oblivion. I guess if you finish all the quests. And that's a lot of quests. I finished pretty much all of them but I still play the game.

i sometimes play my 360 for hours a day, days at a time (mostly when i get a new game), and I also transport from my moms to my dads a couple times a month and I'm happy to say it's never gone even slightly wrong.

I can sympathise though, my friend got one for his birthday already defected (we don't know if it was second hand) took it back for another defected system before finally gettin a working system running in his bedroom, 1 week after the inital gift - ouch.

I have not done any serious gaming on my 360 for a while except for when I played Star Trek Legacy. I don't think it has much to do with Halo 3 though. By the time Halo 3 is out my purchase of a Xbox 360 will be justified.
