Only a few people sad it would overtake Halo and I bet they were joking. No one could have seriously thought that Killzone would out do Halo, since only games that come close are GTA and Gran Turismo in sales.
KZ2>Halo3, sold my 360 a month or two ago that i had since launch, logged so many hours into halo 3, Killzone2 is a much more quality game. Madmidnight is my PSNID and my old XBL GT.
Why can't both just be great games? Why does one need to "kill" the other to be considered good? This makes no sense to me at all, and hasn't since the term "Game X killer" started getting used.

the first, first person shooter i ever played was wolfenstein3d when i was a kid, then doom 1993 is when i got hooked on them, then got rise of the triad 1994, then duke nukem 3d, but quake 1996 was the definitive online game. it's sad the kids didnt grow up with the pioneers of the fps genre.
I'd say from the intial fake trailers we saw at E3 to the actual launch, Killzone is somewhat of a disappointment. Maybe if it came out with the launch of the PS3 it would have stood a chance.

You know this is the common case of the bigger bully. Why do the big bad lemmings pick on Killzone 2? Because it scares them, they don't want it to have the glory it's supposed to, New account so how about we don't feed the troll. It amazes me how topics like this can stay open for as long as they do as well.
Doesnt matter which halo you play 1/2/3 lol play the single player campaign and let the a.i marines drive the warthog for you. LOL some of the funniest crap i ever seen in gaming, in halo 2 the a.i drove me off a cliff.

What, is halo3 going to use a rainbow bright skittle as a weapon or something? Just makes me laugh after playing KZ2 to hear the words Halo3 and cutting throats. You lemmings that haven't played KZ2 have no idea how rough and tumble the online is in KZ2. Once again halo3 going to use a rainbow bright skittle or something lol.
Well I never thought it would take over Halo because Halo basically is the leader in console online shooters. I think Killzones single player is better but not much and the online is great. The thing is Halo is known for its great online and has the best ranking system which is why people keep playing it. Really they have different styles of online though so really depends on what you prefer.
halo is just another idea /average shooter 90s first person shooters. the pc gaming industry in the 90s was off the charts so many killer games. it totally feels like it's dead the first person shooter genre.
consoles never got any half decent shooters really so when halo did arrive everyone praised it like it was god. when in reality it's a subpar trash game compared to 90s pc shooters and halo just is a 90s subpar pc shooter ported to xbox.

LOL gamespot's quake review called halo a noob game. In Quake, you can attack (or be attacked) from almost any angle or altitude.
