Halo 3 did not live up 2 my expectations...

Now I do like my ps3 more than my 360 but having a 360 I was quite excited about getting Halo 3. I spent about 2 hours on the campaign and completed over half of it!!!! thats rubbish. the game is fun and the choppers are cool but I was hoping for better. the off line multiplayer was ok I had fun sniping my dad while he tryed to achine gun me but that was it. PS3 owners dont be jelous Halo 3 is good but thats it. good, not great, amazing or spectacular but good. I actually liked R6v better!!!! Am I mad?????

You took 2 hours to complete over half of it... If you haven't completed it how do you know it was over half? The levels vary in length quite a bit.

Also it's obvious you were playing on Easy/Normal. Try it on a real difficulty

Judging from the stellar reviews it appears;

1. you set your expectations impossibly high

2. you are posting flamebait.

You are mad because you are obviously playing the game on an easy difficulty, and then turning around and blaming it on the game. There is a scalable difficulty for a reason, which is to provide a challenge to gamers of all skill levels. If you are breezing through it, then you should set the difficulty to Normal or Heroic.

But yeh ok I was doing it co op with my dad and he had alreay completed it up to that bit but still i think the game seems pretty short. you cant deny it is short. other games you could do co-op and you would not get that far Halo 3 is honestly short. Maybe it will be better playing it on my own. oh well the multiplayer bit is good. I like hitting people with my rifle.

The thing is though with all the hype even with a 200 hour campaign it would not live up to the hype.

Meh...Halo was exactly what I expected. More of the same in single player campaign but fun as hell in multiplayer. If you don't like it and love your PS3 so much then go play "Lair" or one of your other blockbuster games.RojAvon

no lair was not good. I am not a fanboyI can admit sony mucked up loads with discontinuing consoles, not having dualshock and having a lack of good games. I liked R6V on the360 more than halo 3. not the ps3 one. maybe I will like it more in the future. who knows... I am not a fanboy though I probably use my 360 more than the ps3 as it has more games.

I'm not sure i quite believe you have played much of the campaign if not none of it. If you have what type of enemy were you fighting on the 5th level(about half-way through the game), and whats the difference between the earlier levels and the 6th and 7th.

I couldn't agree with you anymore. I played the game and thought it was fun, but nothing so spectacular. I think people are attached to the story and that's why they like it a lot.The_Gamer81

As a Halo fan, I agree. However, I also think this is the same reason MGS fans are excited for that. Thing is, I think MGS's story is crazy. But I guess it is natural to want to see how something ends after starting it.

do ypu mean the bit where you fight the 4 legged spider thing. you shoot the legs, jump into it and then shoot the red power core thing. there is also the bit where you are clearing out the hangars and you escape that bit after arming a bomb. you escape in a warthog with others. But I blew up my warthog so I stole a chopper. You take out tanks by pressing RB and hitting them which is easy.

when playing co-op I started some way into the game and got nearly to the end and I have started from the beginning on single player. the first level is in a jungle.

exactly R6V is great. Probably the best game I have played on the 360. Now any FPS game with no cover system seems lacking.

exactly R6V is great. Probably the best game I have played on the 360. Now any FPS game with no cover system seems lacking.

Play the game on legendary. You might get a better experience. You have to use tactics in Halo 3 on legendary cause any run n gun on that difficulty and you get blown away. Heroic is not easy either. I think your playing the game on normal. Seems to me though that you like tactical games like R6V, GRAW, or even gears. Nothing wrong with that. Its your preference. But i would suggest giving the game a chance on legendary by yourself and not in coop then you might change your mind. But if you don't then hey the game is just not your taste.

and I knew I completed loads of it as the story seemed to be going quick so I checked the net to see how far I got. plus everyone I know is a 360 fanboy and has the game. and even they say its nothing special.NinjaMunkey01

So if everyone you know is a 360 fanboy and they say its not special, I guess you don't know many of them. Because everynight when I go online I notice there about 800,000 to 900,000 people online playing. I guess they don't think it is special either.

So whats your point? You can beat a 5-6 year old game in an afternoon or evening when you have probably beaten it several times and you know exactly whats going to happen and when? I dont care what you say but Halo 3 is a pretty long campaign. It might not be months worth, which I dont know of any game in this current generation that has that long of a campaign. But it holds its own as far as the campaign goes. I mean to be honest I really don't want to be sitting there months trying to beat a game I'm sorry but that just is not me. Any campaign that you have to spend about 10-15 hours beating is good enough for me, anything more than that is rediculous. IMO if you have to spend 40 hours just to beat a campaign you really have to have no social life at all.
