CoD4 is way overatted IMO.

I think Bioshock deserved it this year for best Xbox 360 game.

One thing that's for sure in my opinion is that Halo 3 surely doesn't come close to deserve Overall Game Of The Year

not sure about best 360 game since their's bioshock and mass effect, but best 360 game is sure as hell not cod4. Halo 3 should have gotten best multiplayer though (and it did in a bunch of other websites), and it should have been at least been nominated for best music.

Agreed. The music from Halo 3 was one of the best parts in my opinion of the game. I dont get how the music from Mass Effect was better than that from Halo 3 or even Bioshock.

Thank you so much for saying that! COD4 is definitely overrated -- clan support sucks, MP gets boring when you hit 55 (which is very easy), the game is very unbalanced (M16 and that other machine gun that is under iton the selection screen own every gun in the game), Prestige Mode (WTF? This is fun how?), SP was fun but too short if not on Vet, Veteran SP was nearly IMPOSSIBLE without dying a few hundred times, enemies respawn (wow IWI expected bettert), etc. Please stop saying Halo 3 is overrrated until you play it, because it is definitely better than COD4.

Mass Effect has some amazing music --VERY epic. Halo 3 had the same outstanding music as well, but a lot of it was reused or redone. ME was new and fresh.

I would agree COD 4 is overrated and shouldn't of won best 360 game, It is still a great game. But not as great as everyone is making it to be. The GoTY for 360 should of gone to Halo or Mass Effect (I would pick Mass Effect. Butbecause Mass Effect does not seem in the running, it should of gone to Halo 3)

Halo 3 has a far superior multiplayer suite that has tenfold the amount of customization options (even without the Forge), and a Matchmaking system that actually makes FAIR matches (a dizzying concept, I know IW). Halo 3 also has a superior art direction, because all levels are actually clean and recognizable (not just Russian grassland or Middle Eastern city). Also, both of the games I mentioned are way more balanced. Each weapon is extremely unique in Halo orRainbowand has immediate ups and downs. Then certain weaknesses and tecniques of better use become apparant only after heavy use of the weapons.

Halo 3 didn't deserve to win GOTY or anything for that matter and I'm a Halo fan. The game was a disappointment.

QFT. Man, I really got screwed by all of the COD fanboys. I could have gotten a way better game like BF2 or R6V, but instead I am convinced into getting COD4. Too late now :(

Not on GS but on Gametrailers it won best shooter of the year. Regarding the COD 4 vs Halo 3 comparisons, I would gladly pick Halo 3 for the single player experience but COD 4 for the multiplayer experience.

I know right? What has COD4 that is innovative and ground-breaking? Sure, it is fun, but I would take BF2 over this game ANY day. It gets old fast. Wow, I REALLY need BF2. I'm probably going to get MC for the 360 because it was awsome for the Xbox.

You can say the same thing about halo. What was innovative and ground-breaking about the 3rd installment. Halo 3 could have had GOTY if the multiplayer maps where half as good as the halo 2 maps. Even with the new edditions there are only 2 good maps in the whole bunch. Everything else is medicore at best.

COD4 isn't that great either. It's just the newest game. R6V could probobly be the best shooter to date, but it's not GOTY over bioshock.

Umm, that's how Reader's Choice works, but it doesn't explain how in Editor's Choice Halo 3 won no awards.

Simply, it was a good game, but it's formula was getting too tired. Other fresh experiences in the genre took it out.

A lot of the time in GOTY awards in tight years, a game that releases later seems to win out (perhaps because it's still fresh in the staff's mind?)
