Why is it that when DLC gets released for Halo 3 Bungie/MS charges but when Official DLC from Crytek for Crysis comes out it is free? It costs $12 or so for 3 average Halo 3 maps at best whereas Crytek gives you 5 maps (3 power struggle, 2 instant action maps) FOR FREE? And the size of the maps in Crysis are HUGE. Also not to mention that Crysis is $10 less in the stores. BTW do not mention "the maps will become free" Why? Because you see your friends playing on them, you instantly want to buy them and the playlist updates etc etc and also based on the principle of them charging in the first place.
Because if they made them cost money on PC everyone would just pirate the maps.
It's not the PC developers being good sports or anything. They don't have the option for it. And they have to work loads and don't get paid for it when they release their stuff. Poor guys.

you can't use pirated DLC ?, everybody would have to pirate it, and Crytek would just kick the server out

more like after 15 years of PC Gaming, we hermits expect free maps. Has nothing to do with pirating, just why the heck are we going to pay for something the community gives us for free anyway? So what if Crytek(or any developer made it), the best maps are always user made maps.
