The singleplayer is short, linear and just plain boring. Its in fact worse than the SP in Halo 2

MP is fantastic, but umm Deja Vu?

It just shows how greedy Bungie have become, they spent 3 years of MS money on this and it comes out to be a 6 hour SP and completely identical MP

i have to disagree with linear; sure it is mainly based around getting from point A to point B, but almost all levels have multiple routes that can be taken. which makes it a hell of alot less linear than games like GeoW.

having said that it really isnt the greatest game ever and is only just a great game imo.

Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, now that's what I consider the greatest game.

Neither, it is merely passable in single player and 'fun' in multiplayer.

Its good, but the MP has already run its course an the campaign is kinda boring.

Plus, Halo makes a much better LAN game than it does an online game, so I reserve my Online time for Vegas, Team Fortress 2, or Call of Duty 4. If my buddies and I played huge LAN matches...we actually stick to Halo: Combat Evolved...

Single player was solid, MP is very top notch.

i would give it an 8.5 at best. it used to be 9.0 for me but ive been playing mp3 today and it makes halo 3 single player seem less than mediocre by comparison. the online saves it from a 7.5.---OkeyDokey---

You can't give it a 7.5, it doesn't have an identity crisis!

It is a great game that has a huge amount of depth. I can see myself playing it for a very long time. However, if/when their is a Halo 4, I would switch to that. This quality doesn't make it like greatest game of all time. I still think that title goes to Super Mario 3.

What can be changed really? There's Forge by the way, and new armor, new maps, new weapons, and vehicles.
