Yeah it is, which is why it's convienent that no one has actually said it. :|
Oh of course, the 30% attach rate topic. *sigh* The whole point of replies is that you do it within the same topic. Though 30% is incredibly high for a single game. Still can't get anywhere near Wii Sports attach rate....

It's quite simple. Halo 3 may have impressive sales for the Xbox 360, but by comparison games like Wii Play and Wii Fit can out sell it by twice with ease. What this really tells us is that it is not quality that makes a game sell, it's a complete myth. Sales are not in sync with review scores or gamers own opinions, not by a long shot. Just because Halo has sold the most does not make it the superior shooter. People need to understand this, that arguing about sales is meaningless when it can not improve your own enjoyment of a title.

Uh, everyone knows that sales don't improve your enjoyment of a game. If you are trying to say sales aren't relevant however, you are incorrect, they matter and hold worth more than people giveit cedit for.

No, they don't. The only time sales have EVER mattered was when it was a matter of a company going out of buisness, and losing a great developer which is very rare. This nonsense about who's making the most money from what means nothing when they arn't making the most enjoyable games, and I believe there are much better games than Halo that have sold less, for example Half Life 2.

Uh no, they absolutely do matter. Maybe the people you arhue with are only intersted in claiming ownage with sales but people like you need to get it through your head that NO ONE EVER SAYS THAT A GAMES SALES DICTATE ITS QUALITY. NOBODY SAYS THAT. You want to know why sales matter? Where is my Zack and Wiki sequal or game of similar design? Oh yeah, non existant, you know why? Cause it sold like crap. Why did Tomb Raider Underworld in game content get changed into DLC? The sales my friend, they weren't going to make enough money. Why is it that developers like Conspiracy entertainment and Phoenix games produce nothing but crap? Sales, they don't make anywhere near the amount of money necessary to make a good game. There is tons of proof out there, you want links to Capcom telling me that the sales matter for Zack and Wiki? This isn't an issue you can win with me just basing your evidence off of how you feel, you need to show me proof as to why sales are irrelevant or you will be buried because I have tons of links that can prove you wrong.

Don't worry, I'm not continuing any further after this. Its just becoming a big waste of time. Thread is about Halo, Halo it shall remain.

This is incredibly flawed. So because some games sold badly that means that sales matter completely in System Wars because...? They do not matter here. If people don't want to buy games they wont buy games. It can not be helped. It matters in a diffrent respect, but what you are talking about is completely diffrent. I was referring to the use of sales in System Wars. In a more general sense sales do matter to some because it is often the case that some games don't earn the sales they deserve (Okami for example) which can lead to bad circumstances, but there is nothing to discuss there except that that it is a total pity, and shocking that people continue to buy crap over quality titles. It does not matter to System Wars and hence it dosn't matter here. Sales wont improve my enjoyment of a title if it is worth buying in the first place. Okami isn't any worse because of sales, Tomb Raider might be, but it was destined to be crap in the first place anyway. A good game is a good game regardless of how well it sells.
EDIT: And just to point out the only reason why people talk about sales in the first place is to compare quality. Lets face it, if a game is selling over 2 million who cares? It's likely to get a sequel anyway. So you're wrong when you say, "No one was saying that." The very act of bringing up the sales argument for Halo is used as a point of it being a quality title. The sales of Halo 3 do not matter to me at all, and using your argument they shouldn't matter to you either.
Wii Fit has outsold Halo 3 sales and Gears of war sales put together.
Ultramarine777
Strangely enough, people don't consider Wii Fit a game.

Why do lem go to sales when they can't defend anything else? And by the way I have a 360 and i just enjoy my 360 and didn't enjoy Halo omg kill me now -_-
And WiiFit has been out a lot less and has already outsold it.IronBassand Fried Chicken has oldsold Wii FIt a trillion times over ... see what happens when you compare two non like things.

You buy the package, you plug in the controller, you put in the disc, you start the disc and you manipulate the content of the disc in an interactive way using the provided controller. Sounds an awful lot like a video game to me....
