The thing that I dont get is why people will buy this game. The gameplay is EXACTLY the same as Halo 2 and the graphics are halo2 in HD. Sad thing is, this game will most likely sell over 5 million units.

The thing that bothers me most in the game is the craptastic animations. They could have spend a little more time on them.

This game better not get over a 9(On the old rating scale it should be more like 8.7) but I guess 9 would be fine on this new scale. MGS3, a much better game than MGS2 got an 8.7 while the predecessor got 9.6 due to the fact that it played too much like MGS2 and was too "similar." Gamespot better rate Halo3 the same way because it is the same game.

I didnt know Halo 2 could even come close to doing 12 miles of geomtry.........And plus to me atleast that looks wayyy better than the beta

Well for one, it looks amazing. Multiplayer will be insane. And I actually want to see the end to the story arc, like many of us out there.

Halo 2 HD? Did you ever PLAY Halo 2? It was atrocious by todays standards! The textures were non-existant, no sir, Halo 3 is a beautiful game that is using an award winning formula that gave it the first ever "10" score in EGM and a AAA review in every major publication and internet review site out there.

Halo 3 will sell 5 million units because it will be a fantastic game.

exactly what I was going to say man, why change what works. When you get a bad asz title, you don't need to reinvent the wheel, all you need to do is build around it, new story, new weapons, presto, new game. Besides, I get a little pissed when devs decide to turn a game on its head for the sequal.....soul calibur unplayable 3!!!

Aye, we all hate that, but the SP campaign is what a lot of us are excited. The fully featured/extremely popular/well-balanced MP is just the icing on the cake. Make that a LOT of icing.

i hope your right....HALO 1 and 2's campaigns were so weak. HALO 1 was bad ass at first because we never seen anything like it before but after while you'll notice the linear levels and gameplay. HALO 2's campaign barely improved over the first, lets just hope part 3 does it right.

If you played the Halo 3 Multiplayer Beta then you would know that..

A) Halo 3 plays way better than both Halo 1 and Halo 2, and that was just a taste of what is to come.

B) Halo 3 playsdifferent than both previous iterations, the multiplayer felt like a brand new game.

C) Halo 2 should not have earned a 9.0 or above, but Halo 3 is looking to shape up to be a great 9.0+ title.

Maybe the second one, yes, but Halo:CE's campaign was anything but weak. Linear? Me and borther tackled those levels in so many different ways, enough to make us play the campaign at least a dozen times. I have to disagree there.
