I was thinking about it earlier today after getting through five horrible matches of Halo last night, I can't think of a game with a worse community. The way everyone sounded, it was like my ears were being violated by crackling prepubescent voices. I got to the point where I just took off my headset because I couldn't take the whining any longer.
Seems like there's three types of people that play Halo online.
 1. The Kids ~ Constant complaining, with either an almost girl-like voice, never ending crackling voice, or a voice that sounds something like a seven year old boy trying to imitate a burly deep voice, and doing horribly at it. Other than those main features, it's pretty much just too much talking and poor attempts at being funny. They seem to make up about 65% of the Halo community.
 2. Elitist Nerds ~ Characterized by mostly sarcastic comments and general cynicism. Losing a match seems to result in nerd-tastic temper tantrums. As far as typical voice type, it could be any where from an average voice to a nasally voice. They seem make up about 25% of the Halo community.Â
 3. Normal Gamers ~ Generally pretty quiet, doesn't talk too much or rudely. Plays the game and then moves on to the next round without complaint. They seem to make up about 10% of the Halo community.
This is just in my experience, but almost every match I've ever been in could be split up into those three categories and most of the time using those percentages. The only other game with a similar community that I've seen would be Call of Duty 4, but doesn't seem as bad.
Does anyone else notice this with the Halo community or with any other games?
