Halo 3 Hits 10 Millionn - Here's Why

Not bad for Halo. I don't want to seem like I'm trying to spoil the party with this thread but it needs to be said eventually so bare with me. A lot of games, espeially on the PS3, get a lot of sales grief because of Halo's success. It's a bit unfair to compare sales of a game like Halo 3 to for example Killzone 2.

Halo 3 has been out for about 2 years. Sales should be compared to games out just as long. But here's why Halo 3 is so successful. Besides it being ut for a long time, it's also on a larger user base. In addition, it's the tird part to the franchise which has gathered a large following. Add that to the fact that it's been bundled with the 360 for quite some time also. Halo 3 is also the game to get when you first get a 360. Either it's bundled or it's bought since it's not as expensive as it was during launch.

My point is, Halo is in it's own class right now. Though I didn't enjoy the game as much, I do see why it's popular.

Finally, for SW sake: What other 360 exclusives FPS are there that's worth it anyway?

This bundle argument and Halo sales is so very weak considering how many different PS3 bundles there has been from MGS4,LBP,GT5 P, UNcharted, and on and on.rybe1025

Halo 3 sold 10 million copies because.... Its an awesome game, that everyone with a 360 should own, its easy and fun to play but difficult to master, and there are several different ways to play and have fun with it.

Exactly... just like MGS4, LBP, GT5P & Uncharted...... those are bundled with the PS3.... do you see fanboys making topics about how its not fair?
