Halo 3 in August

I think they trying to Avoid the release of GTA so that they can capitalize on HALO 3 as much as possible, ain't nothing wrong with that though, but they should'nt rush Halo.

Launching Halo 3 in august or september would be as foolish as releasing Spider-Man 3 in september.  There are what some call "blockbuster" months.  In the video industry, May is the big one.  In the video game industry, it's November.  November is where games go to shine.  A strong November and December showing will go a long way in vastly improving the total sales of a game versus if it were released any other month in the year.  It's not as big of an effect in the gaming industry as in the movie industry, but it is most definitley still very real.  Halo 3 in November, doesn't matter if GTA is there or not.  Both will sell.

having halo3 and gta4 launch on the same day would be the most beutiful thing of 2007, going to the store and picking both up and having their sexy cases then finally getting home and when you finally figure out which one to play you play it for 10 hours straight and then the other for the same amount then have a nap..

why? Mario is the best selling franchise in the world, and Smash was Gamecubes top selling game.... dont think Nintedo's 1st party stuff doesn't sell well.... my god. 

oh and replace new gerneration with next generation.... there really isn't much new about it. Just cooler and bigger, should be great fun tho.

Putting Mario agains Halo isn't all the unrealistic.... and really... im sure bungie would be a little intimidated if they were launching agains a mario game... flat out. i always thought metroid was extremly boring especially the ones for the gc they were really crap games very bland and didnt have much in the enviroment to look at.. mario is great sure up until mario 64 that is after that i got older and so did everyone else but unfornatly little kids took their places so they kept making the crap game.

NSMB is KILLING anything that Halo could ever dream of accomplishing.  Mario has been featured in a handful of games that have sold over 10 million....  Halo 2 and Halo 1 COMBINED sold about the same as ONE GTA on the PS2 alone. 

HALO IS NOT THAT BIG OF A SELLER!

Mario has potential to sell 15 million.  Halo does not.  End of story.

Imo, I think it will be a mid-late November release, so that it can work with the holiday rush.

But it may come out sooner, although I say no earlier than October. 

Well, they didnt, but I think if they released both of them far enough apart, one will not take any spotlight from the other. It should be done like a chain reaction, Nuke 1: GTA and a month later Nuke 2: Halo 3.Pro_wrestler
