Id put Haze at the top of the overhyped list, I serriously was planning on buying a PS3 wit hit and it flopped so bad, man IM glad I looked it up before Iwent out ot make that purchase :P
Is that a serious question? This game was hyped through the roof. I was excited to have my own galaxy. I had many epic ideas. I wish the game did not get dumbed down.
SSBBrawl was overhyped to hell and back, and it's probably the single biggest disappointment I've ever played (iit: me bawwwing)
I mean, it was delayed like 3 times, meanwhile the website was giving us updates on all the new stuff that would make it "so awesome", and when we finally get it...just to find out he made the gameplay slower so it would be "less competitive" so "anyone could play."

No offense, but you're probably just one of those geeks that spend all their time looking for glitches in games to give themselves a better chance at winning. Everything in brawl was a step upwards from melee. They added in good characters and took out the stupid clones, put in some kind of story that was pretty cool, a ton more unlockables, many more and better items, tons of great stages, a stage creater, you can take pictures whenever instead of just picture mode, a better special brawl mode because you can mix in tons of stuff, you can save your videos, a better tourney mode, a mode to auto switch out players fairly, and they took out all those stupid glitches and tricks the nerds took forever to find in melee that basicly ruined the game.
The gameplay being slower didn't really do much to it, it just made it a little easier for some people, but it is still very competitive. Whenever I fight anyone that is casual it it easy to beat them, it just made it so they don't wanna quit because it takes hours to get the hang of. Me and my friends are always playing together and we still play competitivly like before its just now there aren't annoying glitches you need to learn to beat people.
