Halo 3 Looks Great - Cows are Jealous!

Ok first and foremost, anyone who says the leaked zanzibar footage looks like Halo 2 is a complete fanboy. Art wise the game does look simiar, and it is supposed to look similar - its the same dang game. I wouldn't expect MGS4 to look like Mario Galaxy.

 If you get a chance to view or download the HD version of the video you can see just how amzing some of the detail is. The lighting and textures look great and this map is not even finished.

So all the cows can make their pointless threads because they are stuck playing Resistance over and over again (no offense towards resistance, I own it and love it) but in th end all the negativity comes from a sad place in their hearts where they want to play Halo 3.

The E3 trailer was Campaign based graphics, Ca,paign will always look slightly better then the MP, something you should know

Even gta iv was said to have bad graphix, but the gameinformer mag. dude that played it said that the graphics he played were better than the trailer and only improving. Hell all they have to do is put more detailed textures really.

You got a point. We haven't seen any videos of Halo 3 campaign (I never saw the video with Grunts but I think it was in the alpha stage). Just like GRAW and Splinter Cell.

(And no! it doesn't have a great gameplay, it bored the hell out of me) I betting the Elite because of Gears of War. That's the only reason! I played Halo 1....from start to end on a PC. It was a terrible game as well. Shooting dwarfs and smurfs in space constitutes as a good shooter??? Give me a brake!!! Anyways! Let's see how Halo 3 comes along. But as of right now....it looks like crap!

Well I have the HD version on my desktop, please admit it, its not looking as good as its competition (Quake Wars / UT3 / Crysis) , I have no doubt that it will do well, but this is one reason I dont like console online over PC online, you have no choice with settings, Multiplayer dumbed down? Pretty harsh.

 Its textures reminded me of Half-Life 2, if it wasnt for the moving turbine / lighting and the shield effect I would of said it looks like HALO SOURCE or something.

Halo CE changed my perception of games...and I was a heavy pc player at the time...i got the original xbox at launch with Halo and it was amazing...

Sorry, I have to be honest about this one. I just call them as I see it. I think it looks better than Halo 2 but its not what I was expecting from the next gen Halo 3 being built up for such a powerful system and with the time and money that MS is putting into this game. I hope Bungie delays the release of this game in order to make it amazing looking. Why can't we have both amazing gameplay as well as amazing visuals. Its almost like some of you say that we need to pick what we want and that we cant have both. With xbox360 being such a powerful system, there is no good reason why we cant have both amazing graphics as well as gameplay.

If you are a gamer then you would be able to see how graphicaly impressive some of the stuff in the Halo beta is. It's not earth shattering but at the same calling it terrible or crap is stupid because everyone who has actaully played it for real has come away impressed with the look of the game, and by the way I got my PS1 PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii all on launch day!

Yes, I do. I downloaded the HD version and then streamed it over to my xbox360 and watched it on my HDTV. I still wasnt impressed with it. It looked good but not what I was expecting. I hope Bungie has the time to get this game looking amazing. If not, they need to delay it.

Gears is even closer but if you really look at it you will notice a lack of atmospheric effects that were in the campaign.

it only seems that way because the campaign is designed around story and different settings and such and mult-player is designed for balanced gameplay. You do know that online multi-player doesn't have anything to do with the graphics. The only information being transfered is the position that you are in the map and weapons ect. so the connection doesn't really matter matter. I've been looking at screenshots of gears of war and they look the same in single and multi-player.
