halo 3 matchmaking suks!

there is one thing that realy pisses me off about halo its match making system which is jus balls it takes a good 3mins for me to get into a match and then i cant even choose what dam map i can play all i can do is veto then it takes me to a crapier map "the pit" like every single time, why couldnt they have had a similar online match making ala gears of war where you can choose exactly what you want.

but despite that its a terrific game and also its my first halo game to date :)

I wanna be able to have matchmaking throw me into a game of "infection", I don't keep many people on my friends list, so its gonna be hella hard to play it.... Bungie needs to incorporate "Infection" into the regular "NON"-ranked game types.Veterngamer

also since this is your first halo you probly dont know this but bungie will be changing up the play list on the fly, In other words games like infection or ninja ball can be added to the match making, even weapons like flamenades, scorpions, pelicans ect. Even the play list will change.

Thats far too many hoops to jump through to do something as simple as a multiplayer match. I hate adding random people to my friends list that I'm probably only going to play with once, a few times at best.

This is why I thought it was funny when people complained about Warhawk's online setup. Yes, you have to manually go through the servers. But you do have filters. And you know who's playing, what map it is, what game type it is, etc.

I'd much rather have to take a couple extra minutes to find the game thats right for me than to have it chosen for me.

Sorry never played it. Does Gears online allow you to make choices?

the matchmaking is halo 3 is the best you can get. i feel though that there should definitely be an option to join people's custom and forge games without having them on your friends list or recent players list.

Most of them are yea, I prefered Halo CE/2's multiplayer maps, I hope they add a new Blood Gulch soon tbh :S

Well its not bad, but the only experiance I have had with Valhalla so far is 1-flag* CTF, I hate the mode and the map doesnt exactly help, Is there even a 2-flag CTF in ranked Team play? because im yet to see it.

imo valhalla is much better. i like it because it's not just two bases and a big plain in between. there's actually some variety to the level geometry which i like.

I'm not a huge fan either but I guess it gets the job done. I'm more disappointed there aren't more options for playing custom forge maps or game modes online unless through invites or the friends system, since these days I keep only my real-life friends on my list, and there aren't enough of us to play matches of, say, rocket race, which looks really fun.Corvin
