Halo 3= The best console MP shooter this gen by far

So after watching the Halo reach vidoc it got me hyped about Halo again so i decided to play the MP today for the first time in almost a year.. And I can honestly say that in terms of gameplay, control, map layout and just overall fun factor and balance that Halo 3 is easily the best console MP shooter this gen by far and i have every bit of confidence that Halo Reach will follow in its footsteps.

I mean really, just think about the multiplayer shooters out today and none of them match up to Halo 3 multiplayer. Resistance 2, Killzone 2, Left4dead 2, MW etc etc.. I would say if any game comes close to touching it, it would be the battlfield series.

I haven't played it in ages, lent it to a friend but really want it back now for the same reasons as the TC. The community interaction was a very nice touch, with the added modes/maps, etc. and it's insanely fun sometimes - Grifball anyone? Saying that, MW2 is taking up the majority of my time now - I know it has it's haters, but I find it incredibly fun.Ravensmash

Grifball was fun, but Rocket Race is godly.

I prefer COD4, heck, even Bad Company 1. Halo 3 is still good, though.

meh. its fun,but its not my favorite. I depends what you are looking for in a mp.

For me the list goes.

1. Gears of War

2. Halo 3

3. Gears of War 2

I'd put COD4 above it any day and tons of games from before this generation....everything about Halo 3 feels too slow to me.

And i agree with TC halo 3/ODST has the best MP experience.

Nothing can beat Forge, theater, and custom games.
