Halo 3 will sell in 5 millions and plus copies n it own no matter what...

The simple thing is that no matter what the Ps3 fanboys says. its just that they can never get Halo 3 in that system that is the main reason of their jealously. Halo 3 is going be a visually and gameplay wise i.e. i really mean in multiplayer LIVE , its gonna rock... and i dont think any other games can compete with the fun that you have on Live while paying halo. All the peple who played Halo2 LIVE know what i'm talking about.

Halo 3 LIVE's replay value will be probably over a 1,000 times.

Halo 3 will recieve 9.5 + from gamespot.

Halo 3 will be the 2007 Game of the Year, even if any AAA games were released (including MGS4).

Halo 3 will sell 5 Millions + copies easily.

My cousins' hubby is getting a 360 when Halo 3  comes out. So there is one!

Halo 3 WILL sell 360s. Halo 2 is the main reason tons of people still play on their original XBOX. People migrating to Halo 3 will be like a slippery slope. At least, there is a good chance of this happening.

    Halo sold 5 million, Halo 2 sold 8 million. The 5 million was with a installed base of 0 (it being a launch title) and Halo 2 had around 16 or more million to sell to, so with the 360 being around 10-12 million strong at launch, I will give Halo 3 6-7 million within a year, and having that grow to 10 million by the end of the generation. Note, these are my guesses, nothing more.

    I also call Halo 3 at a 9.1 here, baring any major improvements that we don't yet know about, or any flaws that we cannot see yet.

Kinda hard to say, halo definatly is still a big game, but 360 has gained a lot of support so its not as needed as it use to be.

I think 5 million is reasonable, not sure how many will sell the first week or so though.

I think there is a case for saying it could achieve all those things irrespective of how good it actually is.  Obviously it is unlikely to be apalling (genre free judgement here) and its large fanbase will do the rest.

It will sell systems as did the first 2 iterations. Halo games are the premiere multiplayer game on consoles. Many gamers bought xbox later in its life just to play that game with their friends.  I think 5 million is a conservative sales figure. I also think that Halo will not garner higher than a 9 in ratings (unless original game-play mechanics are in abundance). The game will be a blast, it won't live up to certain peoples expectations because they built it up to much, Sony fans will cry that it sucks because that's the nature of things, it will be the #1 seller on NPD for quite sometime, and the mute feature will be used all the time as rabid ten year olds cuss like drunken sailors.

Of course this is an opine. But I promise my last statement is the truth. I hate little kids playing M games.

Halo 3 will sell (9 - 11 Million copies) I mean we're early on in this gen so Halo 3 will go on selling for years just like Halo:CE did.

I think it will score :  Hmmm maybe 9.2 - 9.4 

I think the gameplay and online will be a lot better then Halo 2. The amount of effort and time Bungie seems to be putting in and care with the whole Beta test shows me they wanna do the best they can with this and end Halo right, even though I believe there will be a Halo 4 or continuation of the story by another title. (Not Halo Wars)

How can the guy say it won't sell 360's? The Xbox wouldn't be around right now if it wasn't for Halo. Halo is Xbox's flagship game and character with MS just like Mario is for Nintendo. Ofcourse it sells consoles when people make up their minds.

Not saying Halo 3 was the only reason I got the 360 obviously not for me, but it's a big reason among many reasons I did.

Good points. As a gaming enthusiast this is why when Sony comes out with a must have game (for me - and nobody else) I will gladly go out and buy one. Halo is a must have game for many (read: millions) people.
